Sol Lanzarote

We had a fantastic week at the Sol Lanzarote. The rooms were spacious and clean, the food was varied and delicious, the pools were great with 3 options of depth for all ages and swimming abilities, the staff were really helpful and the area was brilliant. But the overwhelming sense of fun in the place really made our holiday. Wanted to go sraight back.

Not long back from a lovely 10 days in the sol . Excellent from start to finish . The staff were amazing as usual especially Aurelia , Esperanza , Carlos , Micaela , Yrene and our wee buddy Dailys who was amazing. The hotel itself was always clean and well kept . The room was very clean and tidy housekeeping were amazing . Can’t wait to get back as soon possible.

Returned home yesterday. Had a fantastic week. Amazing location 10 minutes private transfer from airport. Wide variety of choice for breakfast lunch and dinner. Lost of activities for the younger kids. Will be going again.

We’ve been on numerous all inclusive over the years but we found this one to have the nicest food by far. The vast majority of staff were very very helpful. The bar staff and kids entertainment staff were fantastic. The evening entertainment was varied and on the whole very entertaining. The front desk staff were efficient but could do with a lesson in customer care and how to greet people (basically just smile a bit more). The location is great, with a really nice beach literally over the walkway from the hotel. Some nice shops and restaurants (if you fancy a break) just a short walk away. A few downsides would be the temperature of 2 of the 3 pools, it was like getting into an ice bath. Also a lick of paint on the main building wouldn’t go amiss. However I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and the staff and its management should give themselves a pat on the back. I will most certainly return.

This has been the third stay at Sol Lanzarote and we have to say it has been the poorest. We stayed on B &B board because the evening m als last time were poor and unimaginative. There are some excellent restaurants near by in the little shopping centre. Our room was clean but maybe because of our board we did not get the tea brewing tray topped up. The pool area is hosed down and swept every morning but we could have done without the booming music most days. Far too loud and loud enough to drown out the my headphone music. Too loud and going on for far too long. The staff were in the main polite and well mannered but €20 deposit for a pool towel is also a bit steep. Would we stay again ? I don't think so though we enjoy the Matagorda area but it could be self catering next time.

Arrived late Thursday night and upon arrival hotel seemed very nice however I was very wrong - following morning we went to the pool which was filthy very cloudy water and you could see all the sun cream floating at the top, the pool area was full of rubbish spilt drinks and food some looked like it had been there weeks. We upgraded at 35 euros a night to a superior room which again was so dirty floors were never cleaned and if you walked around bare foot you can feel how dirty it is. Balcony didn’t get swept nor moped our whole holiday and was full of bird muck. I wouldnt pay to upgrade its defiantly not worth it. The play park was prob the best bit but was only finished a few weeks ago however the area round the play park was again like round the pool full spilt drinks sticky sweets that had been dropped and melted in the sun there wasn’t even a bin round the play area so everyone just left cups etc round the beds. At the top of the play park it’s full of stones and like a giant cat litter tray for all the wild cats round the hotel. On our 5th night I discovered ants all over the microwave in the room and by the evening they were all over the floor I asked reception to come and clean our room again someone came in our room yet didn’t clean it ants were still there Beds are so hard you’d be better sleeping on the floor. Food was ok always plenty of choice and nice enough but other than food I’d say don’t book this hotel it’s not at all clean and I think it’s down to not enough staff to clean a hotel of this size properly it’s defiantly not a 4* hotel I’d say more a 2 to low end 3* staff that they do have are all miserable and don’t smile Bathrooms are very very run down and filthy not cleaned well at all hence why is guessing there are no pictures of the bathrooms on the website or on Jet2holidays website. If your planning on staying I’d say don’t even though it’s a cheap place to stay it’s still not worth it but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. Was defiantly looking forward to going home and giving all our things a good clean.

Stayed here after reviewing lots of hotels in the area and was not disappointed. The only really bad thing about this place was the sun loungers.....as nearly everyone there made a joke of it and took it light heartedly they were really bad and need replacing fast! The staff are all very friendly and respectful and a pleasure to talk to and be attended by. The food as in most all inclusive hotels is good but not always hot. The choices were plentiful. Breakfast was probably the best meal of the day. . As a lot of people comment ….the safe in the room is payable..18 euros for a week and really should be free. Towels are 20euro refundable deposit as most hotels charge (if people didn't steal the towels the hotels wouldn't have to inflict this charge so no problem there. I e-mailed the hotel before arrival and mentioned our anniversary was during our stay and received a bottle of Cava and some sweets and we had a free room upgrade which was really appreciated. Outside the hotel there is a promenade which takes you all the way to puerto del carmen, its a good distance but a nice walk to plenty of shops and bars. Taxis are cheap if you don't want to walk. The entertainment at night was about an hour for adults from 9.30-10.30. Some good some ok. We had a country and western singer who I can truthfully say was the worst professional singer I have seen. The entertainment team made a good show of Mama Mia. Would I recommend this hotel.....yes. I would say you get what you pay for. If you expect the earth then pay it is all I can say.

The Sol is very child friendly but not if you have older children or teenagers. There is no separate lounge/bar for adults to use in the evening so if you didn't come with young children there was no-where to go. Pool was lovely but was supposed to be heated and wasn't, which was disappointing.

fantastic beach location beautiful rooms no englush tv but u can watch france (in english) news channel if youre bored . We stayed all inclusive feb 1st to 8th feb 19 , weather wasnt great for the 1st 3 days but the hotel put a barbecue on and live entertainment at the poolside bar which might i add is the best place to eat as there open till 6pm if ur all inclusive drinks r on tap cannot complain ... however be prepared for the evening all inclusive that is all i will say its ok for some but not for others :) im being polite if you like peas or carrots with ur brekki its the place to go but u dont get veg at night or gravy .. just saying

We have just come back from this hotel it was clean tidy and staff were very friendly. Pools were very cold though this would be my only compliant . Choice of was food and drinks were brilliant. Entertainment was good especially the 2 nights the staff did musicals about grease and mamma Mia 👍👍
