Puerto Calero, Lanzarote
Puerto Calero is a luxury marina located on the southern coast of Lanzarote, one of the Canary Islands in Spain. Known for its stunning views, upscale accommodations, and a variety of marine activities, it offers visitors a relaxing getaway with plenty of options for dining, shopping, and recreation.
Puerto Calero is quite family-friendly. The marina provides a safe environment for children with plenty of open spaces. Families can engage in various activities, such as boat trips and snorkelling, which are enjoyable for both adults and kids.
The best time to visit Puerto Calero is during the spring and autumn months, when the weather is warm but not overwhelmingly hot, and there are fewer tourists. However, Lanzarote enjoys a mild climate year-round, making Puerto Calero an attractive destination at any time.
It is generally considered more upmarket and can be slightly more expensive than other resorts like Puerto del Carmen or Costa Teguise. However, the quality is often higher, and you are paying for the premium location and atmosphere. You can still find reasonably priced options, especially for lunch.
The marina boasts several restaurants and cafés, serving a variety of cuisines, including local Canarian dishes, seafood, and international fare. Dining with a view of the marina is a highlight, allowing you to enjoy the scenery while savouring delicious meals.
