Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa

The majority of the holiday was really nice, staff are friendly and the pools are great. However, we stayed in two rooms during our stay, one was very damp and the other was outdated. The other thing to bear in mind is the entertainment is outside right next to many of the hotel rooms and goes on until past 11pm most nights, so if you want an early night make sure you get a room as far away from the entertainment as possible.

Lovely spotlessly clean Hotel, very friendly staff made you feel very welcome on arrival. We had a lovely room on the 4th floor which is actually the pool and restaurant level which was handy. Very spacious with separate dressing and vanity area. Huge bed, only slight grumble was that it was two beds pushed together, not a double as we booked. Mini bar in the room was kept stocked with water and soft drinks. Coffee machine was great. Buffet restaurant was good. Lots of choice both meat and fish freshly grilled and local dishes too. Drinks service in the restaurant was poor, you were never offered a refill, you had to try to get a waiters attention for one. There was a good selection of other restaurants in the hotel for Dinner which you could visit as many times as you wanted. Slight negative was that you couldn’t book so ended up queuing at 7.30 or they would be full. Lunch options were limited as the pool bar didn’t serve food between 1.30 and 3pm whilst the main restaurant was open. Bar service not great, just not enough outdoor options. Pool bar closed at 6pm then there was only the sushi bar to get a drink outside. waiter service for drinks was practically non existent. The piano bar served drinks in the evening but there was always a queue (not very 5*) Sports bar opened late evening but it had a grotty outside seating are and the smell of chlorine from the spa was overpowering. First few days we were there was a lot of sun bed reserving, after 9am you would struggle to get one. It calmed down but this was probably due to half the hotel being occupied by a French conference, not what we expected at a “romantic all inclusive resort” (their words) Lots of lovely restaurants and bars at the marina which is only a 10 min walk from the hotel. All in all a nice holiday but we wouldn’t return to this Hotel.

Sorry but this hotel is only a 4star at the best wife went at exmas and said it was great but went in august not good not enough staff in the al a cart waited to long for the empty plates to picked up the food not up to 5 star rating only good thing was all the staff we brilliant from checking in to been waited on there’s only 1 bar at night open so had to wait at least 20 minutes for a drink unless you went early sorry not a 5star only rated that because of all the pool and restaurants

Brilliant hotel & amenities, never had a problem with sunbeds anytime of the day. Room was lovely with a view of the pool & the sea beyond, beds really comfy. Staff friendly & helpful. Breakfast was varied & good , all in all a great week.

Lovely hotel .. very clean and well kept. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Quality of rooms excellent and the view we had of the pool and sea was amazing. Main restaurant food overall good .. breakfast good choice.. lunch also good … evening fine but sometimes struggled to find something !!! A la carte restaurants made a nice change and good that you could go as many times as you liked and didn’t have to book…. Nice that it was close to the marina too Overall a nice relaxed holiday.

The hotel was good as was the food and the staff very helpful and attentive. We felt safe and 'covid secure'. We would have expected a hotel in a Spanish resort to offer Spanish food but the Italian themed restaurant was good. We were glad we had booked a suite (which was very nice) as it gave us more space to relax since we did not want to spend a lot of time in the public areas. One small downside was the constant background music around the pool areas which we could also hear in our rooms.

have been to this hotel before so knew what to expect.All the staff from reception to restaurant,Housekeeping and gardeners are all very friendly.Especially Conte and Chloe. Couldn't do enough for us.And our favourite waitresses Marina and Bianca. All the staff are an asset and make the hotel. Once again we had an excellent stay here and cannot wait to return. The only negative would be the rooms, which they are addressing as refurbishment was underway as we were there.

Lovely hotel, helpful staff. The food in the restaurants was amazing every meal. The decor in the rooms was dated and could do with a smarten up, but to be fare you don't spend much time in your room. It's a shame it's adults only now or we would have returned as the location was great with a 10 minute walk to the harbour. Overall a lovely week was had.

We stayed on an all inclusive basis, we had an excellent sea view room, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the food was really nice with plenty of choice, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, well worth its 5 stars

Food selection very good. Quality very good also.Choice of drinks on All Inclusive package very good.Staff generally very friendly.Gardens well maintained.Swimming pools kept clean.Areas for improvement for hotel to attain 5 star rating.Weeds in areas on patio away from pool area.Walls require coat of whitewash on sea facing areas of hotel.Air conditioning did not work for 1 week of our 2 week stay and we had to specifically request a fan to be provided. Area around pool bar and Botavara restaurant were tired and required coats of timber stain to furniture.Long queues on occasions for breakfast buffet.Was not advised of all that was on offer at hotel (For example mini golf).Carpet in Piano Bar frayed.

A lovely hotel, great quality and choice of buffet stlye meals, air con in public rooms and dining room non existent. Staff very helpful. TV had no english channels even though 75% of guests were English.

We arrived after dark and had a good welcome from all the staff. The room was very spacious and well appointed, however we had booked a sea view room and had paid a supplement of £200 for this but the following morning in daylight we went out onto the balcony an there was no sea view, only a very large tree and some of the pool area. When we asked at reception about this we were told that this was actually a sea view room and as the hotel was full they couldn't give us another room for a couple of days. Our room probably did have a sea view when the hotel was built but sadly no longer and we did feel somewhat cheated. Also when we booked on a bed and breakfast basis it stated that there were two A La Carte restaurant as well as the buffet restaurant but the Italian was not open as it was being used as an overspill for the buffet restaurant and the other one only opened Monday to Thursday as it was being used as a wedding venue the rest of the time.

Staff are friendly they greet you as soon as you walk off the coach, then you are quickly give a glass of bubbly. Check in time is not before 3 though. They will look after your bags while you wait. Hotel is lovely and choice of food is excellent, entertainment is good. I did have a couple of problems my air con did report it but did not manage to get the problem sorted. Although maintenance was quick to attend they did not resolve the problem. I would definitely go back there again.
