Rest assured you can recoup cancellation costs (including up to £100 per person for a private COVID-19 test) if you or your travel party become ill with COVID-19 before you fly. The same applies if you’re made redundant (minimum two years employed) and have to cancel too.

Having to self-isolate

If you need to self-isolate on the date your holiday is due to start because you’re contacted by NHS Test and Trace or a member of your household becomes ill with COVID-19 up to 14 days before you leave the UK, you can recover your cancellation costs.

Cancellation due to failed airport testing

Worried about failing an airport check like a temperature reading or COVID-19 test? There’s no need. If you or your travel party aren’t allowed to board the plane because of a failed medical test, you’re covered for that too.
