You're covered if you’re contacted by NHS Test and Trace and need to self-isolate up to 14 days before you travel, or if you become ill with COVID-19 before you travel or while you're away. Rest assured you can recoup cancellation costs (including up to £100 per person for a private COVID-19 test) if you or your travel party become ill with COVID-19 before you fly. The same applies if you’re made redundant (minimum two years employed) and have to cancel too.
If you need to self-isolate on the date your holiday is due to start because you’re contacted by NHS Test and Trace or a member of your household becomes ill with COVID-19 up to 14 days before you leave the UK, you can recover your cancellation costs.
Worried about failing an airport check like a temperature reading or COVID-19 test? There’s no need. If you or your travel party aren’t allowed to board the plane because of a failed medical test, you’re covered for that too.
If you become ill with COVID-19 while you’re away, you can count on medical costs being taken care of, plus any extra accommodation and travel expenses as a result. You’re also covered if you need to be brought home because of your illness.
If your accommodation closes because you, a guest or employee get COVID-19 after checking in, guess what? You’re covered. And you get cover to extend your stay if you fall ill with COVID-19.
