Walks along St Paul’s Bay

Qawra’s a crowd-pleasing town along the shore of St Paul’s Bay, in a really pretty part of northern Malta. Stroll along the promenade, go for dip in one of its gorgeous seafront lidos or take a jet-ski out into the bay. Right at the northern tip, you can laze on a sand-and-shingle beach.

Days in Bugibba

A 15-minute walk by the seafront will bring you into the harbour town of Bugibba, Qawra’s boisterous next-door neighbour. During the day, it’s all about upmarket places to eat, as well as colourful ice-cream parlours. And after sundown, you’ll be dancing the night away in its neon-lit bars and clubs.

Fun-filled attractions

There are lots of quirky things to do here – there’s the Classic Car Museum, for starters. And then there’s Malta’s National Aquarium, where you can see sharks, crabs and lots of shimmery fish. If it’s your kind of thing, you could visit Bugibba’s casino (if only to dine at the snazzy bistro inside).
