Zahara de los Atunes holidays
Title
Text
If dining on platters of freshly caught seafood and lazing on golden beaches sounds like your kind of thing, Zahara de los Atunes, which literally translates as Sahara of the Tuna, is the destination for you. It takes its name from La Iglesia Del Carmen Church where tuna was once caught, prepared and salted. It’s a low-key resort with bags of charm.

Sun, sand and seafood
With 40km of sandy coastline to laze upon on, beach days are definitely on the cards here. Playa del Búnker, just down the coast, is a lesser-known plot if you want to escape the crowds, while Playa del Cabo de la Plata is backed by some tasty beach bars and restaurants.
Catch a film
For a film night with a difference, make your way down to the old Palacio de la Chanca, a 15th-century palace built by the dukes of Medina-Sidonia. Today, these remarkable ruins host open-air film screenings between June and September, along with some markets.
