Lago Resort Menorca Casas del Lago

We stayed for a week in July 2023 and had a gorgeous holiday. Clean hotel & friendly staff. Great choice at breakfast. Gorgeous location by the Marina and not far from shops for essentials. Good choice of restaurants in resort. Fridge in the room & air con were great. Would definitely recommend hiring a scooter to get around and see the beautiful island and the pretty beaches. Was rather shocked that you had to pay €40 per day if you wanted a sun lounger by the pool - it seems this area is owned by “Arena Beach Club” and not the hotel (but there was some confusion between staff over which beds were to be charged for). The price did include a drink and a snack bowl but this was simply a tiny bowl of jelly sweets. There were other, free, sun loungers but these were out of the way from the pool. Pool bar service was very slow. Advertising of Suites & Casas should be much clearer - they are two completely separate complexes which is not made obvious when booking and Casas guests cannot use the Suites facilities despite them being pictured in the holiday adverts for Casa. Pretty misleading. Nothing in terms of evening entertainment, despite being advertised. There was a “Moët pool party” on the Saturday but this was very low key… simply a few inflatables in the pool & music turned up slightly louder. We loved our holiday & would absolutely suggest getting out into Ciutadella & surrounding areas.

Good breakfast, dinner and Spa. Our room overlooked the marina, which was really nice. Staff all good and when I told one of the waitresses it was our last night, she brought us over 2 complimentary drinks! Really good value and you get the option of 4 close by restraunts ( which are owned by the hotel). We tried the Italian & Brazilian ones which were good.

For me this hotel is situated in an ideal location, with the marina at one side and the beach on the other. The staff at reception were very helpful and all the staff were very friendly. I stayed in a Marina chic room and it was ideal and had two loungers on the terrace which were exposed to the sun all day, also there were two chairs and a table. The food at breakfast was really good with real English bacon and pork sausages and a great selection of other offerings including champagne and fresh honey, straight from the hive. The crowning glory for me was the bank of industrial Nespresso machines complete with good selection of pods.(I do like my coffee.) orange juice was supplied from a hopper of fresh oranges in an automatic juicer. Top marks for the food both at breakfast and evening mealtime. You could also eat at some of the local restaurants with a voucher supplied by the hotel if you preferred to swap your included half board meal. The Spa and fitness suite was free to use at this time of the year (early May), I am not sure whether it may charge in high season. The pool area was very clean, there was a shallow pool for perhaps non swimmers and a larger pool surrounded by some of the most comfortable loungers I have ever experienced, they were more like mattresses than loungers, there were also plenty of standard loungers.All in all this has been one of the best hotels I have stayed in. I intend to return.

Beautiful hotel, excellent food, great friendly service. Our room wasn’t ready but we had lunch in the sunshine at the pool, once we got our room we were really pleased, great to have sun beds on the terrace, shower and sink in the room but we knew that when we booked. The only downside of the room was there wasn’t enough hooks for towels and dressing gowns and no rack/shelf in the shower but otherwise great. Food was amazing, drinks slightly expensive but we did go out and about so no problem. Loved our holiday would recommend and we are looking to return

All staff were efficient, helpful and frindly. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Food was good. Location was good. Very quiet at the time but more lively in summer. Will definetly try again in the summer months.

Hotel was great really no down side. However the restaurante on the small side although you could eat outside on terrace. For us the food was good and about right for a four star hotel. We would go back and recommend it as it overlooks the harbour.

best resort I have stayed in on menorca always request an upper floor room pool and poolside bar are great breakfast good choice only negative is some of the reception staff could be more helpful great views over marina and nice and close to everything

These apartments/hotel get a little better each year. Though the fantastic weather helps. No kids running around (done all that), more beds than guests, all spaced out so not on top of each other. Good pool side bar.

Excellent central hotel with plenty of sun beds and a lovely pool area. There was a problem with umbrellas taking off in the breeze which was quite dangerous. Heavier bases are needed. Although the accommodation and main part of the hotel is spotlessly clean we did notice that in the two weeks we were there the pool area was never washed down. Normally at other hotels this is a daily occurrence. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice but hot breakfast choices, although lovely quality, were only luke warm and the plates were cold. Such a shame when the quality of the food was so good. The staff were very helpful and obliging at all times. Overall we had a wonderful stay here and will most definitely be returning.

Adults only apartments, beautifully kept and wonderful staff. The food was lovely and plenty of choice, very fresh. Apartments were in a great location overlooking the marina and I would recommend them to anyone. All inclusive is great as there are 4 restaurants around the marina that you can also use as the hotel own them too.

excellent hotel with excellent staff and facilities, very relaxing place and will definitely go back next year. make sure you have a great massage from Ray and visit the spa, super relaxation!! The bars and restaurants are very good around the marina, also the glass bottom boat trip is recomended.

Very quiet relaxing environment, large clean rooms, comfy beds.Excellent pool area great views of harbour, breakfasts excellent, evening meal good quality but limited choice, would certainly return on bed and breakfast terms

All rooms aresuprb at this place. We had band b and hope this option continues as we like the freedom it brings. Sunbeds are a bit too close to each other as they have introduced couches etc which are extra cost. Very clean and excellent service throughout.

Enjoyed our stay lots of space in our apartment which was very tastefully furnished and decorated .Bed was huge and very comfortable . Pool area was really good with the added bonus of no kids which when your own kids are parents themselves now is sheer luxury .Breakfast was Ok some of the hot food was certainly not .Fab coffee. Noise from the opening and closing wardrobe doors was really annoying as you could hear this from your neighbours .Hubby reckoned this could be sorted very easily by fitting soft pads on the doors which would be very cheap to do . Regardless of the minor issues we enjoyed our stay .
