This is our second holiday of this year travelling with Jet 2 and will be the second complaint we have put forward, firstly the flight over to Bodrum with jet 2 was delayed for 30 minutes, we accepted this we knew it could not be helped, the jet 2 staff during the flight were not helpful in the slightest, there communication and customer service was very poor and made myself, my partner and my grandma feel very unwelcome throughout. Once we had landed into Bodrum we had our transfer to the hotel, (again arranged by jet 2) the driver could not speak any English, he got lost when dropping off other parties then tried to drop off a couple to the wrong hotel and eventually put on the sat-navigation system. The journey was supposed to be 1 hour to our hotel however this was over 1 hour and we did not get to our hotel over 01:30am. After a long 9 hours plus of travelling we went into our hotel to find out there was no food or drink provided for us, considering we had paid for an all inclusive holiday with jet2 we assumed there would have at least been some refreshments provided, not only this the reception staff did not understand any English. Prior to this holiday myself and my grandma had called jet 2 to ensure both my and my nans room would be close together as she would be on her own and struggles with anxiety, physical exercise, walking etc without support. Not only did I call jet 2 numerous times I had emailed the hotel months prior to ensure we had close rooms. I tried to explain this to the hotel receptionist however they did not understand and proceeded to take us to our rooms, my grandmothers room was one end of the hotel and I was at the other end, again we tried to explain to the receptionist however we got told to go back tomorrow morning at 9am. We went to the reception the next morning to find the manager of the hotel, we explained our issue and how unhappy we felt as explained above about the rooms. We then got put into a family room both me, my partner and my Nan, there was zero privacy in these rooms as we all had to share one toilet, one shower and one sink although we had paid for 2 separate rooms through jet 2. Our room in the hotel was not up to the standard of a 5* hotel as advertised, the toilet and shower were in a cubicle together which left minimal room, the smell coming from both the toilet and drain was vulgar, it was an awful stench of urine and faeces as well as the sink smelling the same. The bed was placed upon a concrete like slab which were 2 single beds pushed together, as well as the blanket provided which resembled more to an oversized tea towel. The floor was concrete in the room and had minimal lighting, this was also due to the balcony overgrown with trees etc. The pool area of the hotel was again not up to 5* standard as advertised on jet2, there were tiles smashed in the walkway and the majority of the sun loungers were ripped. Breakfast at the hotel again I would not class as 5* you had a choice of an omelette or scrambled egg, fruit or cereal. Onto the dinner/tea again the menus were the same each time, the waiters spoke minimal English and would get our order wrong 9/10. Once the food eventually came it would be stone cold, I understand that the kitchen are unable to cater for every individual however you pay a lot of money for a 5* hotel all inclusive you expect a decent hot meal as well as having a variety of food choice. The hotel seemed to be near the centre of the night life therefore music would be playing until 2/3 in the morning although the reception staff had told us prior to this that music was not allowed to play after 1am. After a few days/nights at the hotel we were ready to pack up and leave to get an earlier flight home, if it wasn’t for a lovely couple who we met a few days into our holiday we would have got the next flight back to Manchester. When it came to our final day we were told to wait in the reception between 8:15-8:55pm for our transfer to the airport, this all seemed ok and we got to the airport accordingly. The flight was 11pm back to Manchester however it was delayed 30 minutes again we accepted this as it could not be helped, we eventually boarded around 11:50pm and take off was around 12:30am. Once landing into Manchester around 04:30am although we were supposed to land at 02:00am, we then had to wait for the shuttle bus to arrive as we landed in a different terminal, this took over an hour to arrive.
Overall the experience was a complete disappointment and seemed to be a disaster from start to finish from paying for 2 separate rooms to being placed into one room, the advertisement shown was nothing like the hotel and above all certainly was not a 5*.
