If you’re in town on a Thursday or a Saturday, you’ll get to experience all the sights, sounds and scents at the colourful market which takes over the streets. It’s most famous for its traditional Majorcan cheese and spicy Spanish sausage, so why not grab some to try and enjoy as part of a picnic?
Es Trenc is your nearest stretch of beach, around a 20-minute drive away. Its aquamarine water and near-white sand make it one of the most-popular spots on the island, so be sure to get down early to secure a good sunbathing spot.

The Arab Baths are one of the few remaining sites from the Moorish reign between the 8th and 13th centuries. To get to the small underground chambers that survived you walk through a lush walled garden. You'll see the rooms used for hot baths and warm baths, and the slits in the domed roof where steam escaped from.

Stunning, time-honoured buildings in faded ochres and beiges make up the pretty town of Bunyola. It’s a place nestled within rolling hillsides and a great stop-off point if you’re travelling on to Sóller. You’ll find a central square surrounded by dainty coffee shops, a railway line and the odd mural.

A 40-minute hike through the valley north of Puerto Pollensa takes you to this hidden gem. Cala Boquer is a gorgeous litter-free secluded rocky bay with crystal clear cool blue waters and an abundance of marine life. Not surprisingly, snorkellers love it here. It's also a popular area for yachts and powerboats.
