Alcudia’s ideal for families and couples looking for a bit of history and bags of sunshine. Split the days on your Majorca holiday between the long sandy beach and the Old Town, a five-minute taxi ride from the coast. Between those hotspots, there are dozens of wallet-friendly restaurants and bars to while away the balmy evenings.
The sandy beach starts at the swanky marina and keeps going for seven stunning kilometres. At the southern end, you’ll find hidden coves perfect for quite sunbathing and swimming. Closer to town, there’s a buzz of adrenaline-inducing watersports and tapas restaurants facing the deep blue Mediterranean Sea.
Take in medieval history in the Old Town. It’s surrounded by a centuries-old wall, enclosing houses that were built way back in the 1200s! On these historic streets, you’ll find traditional markets that offer up a taste of a real Majorca holiday – any excuse to pick up some trinkets to take home.
