Find out moreAs a calm, charming resort with a horseshoe-shaped white sand beach and family-friendly activities, Cala Galdana has plenty going on. Boat trips, scuba diving and lounging on the shore are all top priorities, while a huge limestone gorge lies in wait of exploration. It’s a pretty postcard scene.

Cala Galdana is a purpose-built resort, so it doesn’t have an old town of its own. But you can find plenty of historic sight-seeing opportunities in Ciutadella. When it comes to natural beauty, though, Cala Galdana excels as the lush countryside is home to lots of birds and wildlife.
The shops around Cala Galdana are mainly mini-markets, great for picking up snacks, drinks and holiday basics. For a bit of souvenir shopping head over to Ferreries, where there are boutiques and gift shops as well as shops selling clothing and shoes.
Cala Galdana, Menorca
Cala Galdana is one of the most photogenic beaches in Menorca. In fact, it has a distinctly Caribbean feel to it, with vibrant turquoise water, bone-white sand and a limestone cliff backdrop. With its Blue Flag status come sun loungers and water sports galore, with shaded picnic tables for that midday sun.
Cala Galdana, Menorca
Cala Galdana has a healthy crop of cafés and restaurants serving both local food and familiar treats. For a family-friendly atmosphere, try Chiuriguito Toni which is right on the beach and serves generous portions. You can dine while enjoying the view at Bar Cala, which serves tapas and seafood on a terrace.
Cala Galdana, Menorca
Cala Galdana has a few pleasant spots to enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings, including the Mississippi bar which stays open late. Stroll along the promenade at the beach and do some people-watching, or head to one of the hotels for a drink at the bar and perhaps a live show.
