Over 10km of golden sand sits on the brilliant blue sea in and around Corralejo, making it a favourite with families and groups alike. From beaches right in the centre of town to deserted sand dunes, there’s plenty of space to stretch out and catch a few rays under a relatively cloud-free sky.
Surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing – those breezes make Corralejo the perfect water sports spot. The resort also wears Fuerteventura’s nightlife crown for its lively bars, restaurants and discos. Plus, its old town used to be a fishing village – and you can see its roots in the narrow streets around the harbour.
Corralejo, Fuerteventura
See natural beauty at its best. The stunning seven-mile Grandes Playas and sand dunes lie to the south of Corralejo. The windswept beach and glimmering turquoise water will take your breath away! These desert-like dunes, which sweep down to the sea, are home to birds, lizards and rabbits.
Corralejo, Fuerteventura
Make a splash at Acua Waterpark, one of the most popular theme parks and attractions in Fuerteventura. Previously known as Baku, it’s been entertaining kids and grown-ups for more than ten years now. It's got slides, whirlpools, a wave pool and solariums, as well as spots to grab a burger. It's worth noting that the park isn't open in winter.
Corralejo, Fuerteventura
A diverse array of shops and bars adorn this traditional Spanish colonial shopping village. It also has a bell tower that provides cool views of Fuerteventura. Market stalls occupy the streets every Thursday and Sunday - a great opportunity to pick up a handmade gift. At weekends, live music fills the square.
