Look forward to teeing off at the island’s only 36-hole club, at the Salobre Golf Resort. You can expect all the usual suspects too – a pro golf shop, club fitting and expert tuition on hand. At the five-star Salobre Resort on-site, make sure you check out the state-of-the-art spa and fine dining restaurant when you want to put your feet up.
It’s peace and tranquillity personified around these parts, so you’ll have to head into nearby Maspalomas if you want a bit more action. The seafront is where it’s at, with its clutch of al fresco terraces, all jostling to plate up the fanciest fizz and seafood in town. Look out for the lighthouse and you can pick up the promenade from there.

Bahia Feliz Beach has a mix of dark sand and pebbles with inviting blue waters. It’s smaller than some of the other beaches and has some secluded spots. It’s a perfect place to enjoy the view, relax and lose yourself in your holiday read. And when you get peckish, there are tavernas along the prom behind.
