This combined resort’s just a little area, with terracotta tops standing in traditional fashion – you can instantly see you’re near Dubrovnik. Thick, forested hills meet silky-looking seas around these parts, so take some time to get to know the scenery. It’s an idyllic Dalmatian Riviera pick.
Venture out a little further and you’ll soon scoop up views of forts, classic buildings and old stone walls. Visit local caves and resorts, and marvel at the best of Dubrovnik as you explore the Old Town. You’ll have endless possibilities when it comes to must-do day trips.
Stikovica Zaton, Dubrovnik Coast
The waterfront cafés and restaurants in Veliki Zaton offer traditional Croatian delicacies and wine in an idyllic, peaceful setting. Konoba Kasar is a popular choice for its brilliantly executed daily menu of the freshest fish, and its location in an old boathouse with a terrace jutting out onto the sea.
Stikovica Zaton, Dubrovnik Coast
Walk along the coast from the Mali Zaton bay to the larger Veliki Zaton bay to reach a lovely pine forest, with trails leading to beautiful spots hidden away in the woods. For a more challenging hike, take the trail uphill to the nearby village of Podbrezje, on the way to the Mocilska Cave.
Stikovica Zaton, Dubrovnik Coast
Stikovica Beach, in a natural inlet with beautiful views, is a popular weekend spot for locals but visit during the week and it's the epitome of tranquillity. The clear rich waters of the small shingle beach are great for snorkelling and there are sunbeds to hire and a couple of nice spots to grab lunch.
