Kassiopi’s in the north-eastern part of the island, with one awesome backdrop of Mount Pantokrator and its nestling of olive groves. The sleepy harbour’s transformed every evening with a kaleidoscope of colour from the setting sun, fishing boats heading out to sea, and the glowing lights of bars and restaurants.
Encased by castle ruins and dense hillside greenery, Kassiopi’s ideally placed for all kinds of fun. Dig a little below the surface and you’ll find there are plenty of activities on offer, from diving by the beach to gold and tennis. So grab your trainers and get to know the resort’s sportier side!

Only 300 metres from the centre of Kassiopi, Kalamionas beach is a popular sand and shingle beach. You can hire sunbeds and umbrellas and there are toilets and nearby places to eat and drink. It’s a beautiful spot with calm, clear waters perfect for snorkelling and swimming and spectacular sunsets.

There is lots to love about Kassiopi with its history, scenery and places to eat, drink and be merry. Head up the hillside for pretty views and the remains of the Byzantine castle, or down to the harbour for a stroll and some people-watching. You can also go shopping or to the small pebbly beaches with great snorkelling.

Bataria beach, a short walk from town, is a quieter pebble beach with crystal clear waters perfect for snorkelling and safe for kids. Sea shoes are a good idea and you can buy a pair on the way to the beach. There are sunbeds, parasols and toilets, a couple of nearby restaurants and a fruit van.
