The village is sprinkled with cafés and souvenir shops, but head down to the pretty paved port for the best choice of authentic restaurants. This is a peaceful place to spend an afternoon in the rays as the boats jiggle on the water’s edge.
Emerald waters, jade-splashed hillsides and sand that looks like it’s spilled from a treasure chest, this majestic region is really something, alright. Team that with the clash of whitewashed buildings and terracotta rooftops and, congrats, it seems you’ve just hit the jackpot!
Sivota’s go-slow vibe is one of its biggest benefits, but on the days you fancy something a little livelier, there are various neighbouring resorts just waiting to be explored. Around 10km up the coast is Plataria, a diddy village with a boat-studded harbour that’s primed for watching sunsets.

Stretching an incredible 52km and nothing short of paradise, a visit to the Acheron Springs is an absolute must for nature lovers. Wander along the waterside path with its fantastic flora and fauna then stop off at the restaurant for refreshments. Feeling adventurous? You can even ride through the water on horseback!

A hilltop fortress with breathtaking views, Ali Pasha Castle lies just a short distance from the village of Anthousa. You can catch the tourist train from Parga, which adds to the experience, and when you get to the top you’ll be greeted by remarkable ruins and wow-worthy scenery.

This treasure trove cove is a total beauty. Tucked away from the main tourist hotspots and stunningly unspoilt, Alonaki Fanariou Beach is paradise in beach form. It’s reachable via some steps, and the water’s rocky so be wary. There’s also a small café selling sarnies and snacks.
