Some of the most famous attractions here happen to be the nightclubs. Built into the cliff face, you’ll find terraces with tables, chairs and umbrellas, all on different levels in one particular venue. The view looks out over the seemingly infinite ocean, and tunnelled paths connect each alcove to satisfied visitors.
If you feel like heading further afield, the island’s capital, Mahón is the one to discover. Here you’ll find a relaxed vibe especially by the harbour, as well as plenty of shops and boutiques in the centre, many of which are based in historic buildings within pedestrianised zones.
Cala’n Porter, Menorca
Cala’n Porter’s beach is often rated as one of the best beaches on Menorca, thanks to its perfect sands sloping down into turquoise clear waters. There's plenty to do other than sunbathing: go snorkelling to spot starfish and purple urchins or take a pedalo out for a nice relaxing tour of the scenic bay.
Cala’n Porter, Menorca
Embedded into the Cala'n Porter cliff face is Cova d'en Xoroi, a cave-come-bar-come-nightclub that is vibrant whatever time of day you choose to visit. Sip mojitos and look out across the Med and then enjoy a pre-dinner aperitifs at sunset. From 11pm the dance-floor is open and the decks are spinning.
Cala’n Porter, Menorca
The restaurants along The Strip cover every base, particularly suited to Brits with lots of English, Chinese and Indian restaurants to choose from. If you’re feeling more adventurous, then the local specialties like sepia al forn (baked cuttlefish), and caldereta de langosta, (lobster stew) are the ones to try.
