Take yourself back to the 12th century and learn the legends of this humble little town! Nicknamed the Town of Pirates, Omis was once ruled by a group of fearsome fellows, filling their foes with fear! Battling against the neighbouring towns and passing ships, it wasn’t until 1444 that the Omis seadogs lost their reign! Today, you’re unlikely to spot a pirate, but you can go on a rafting tour on the Cetina River!
Dotted with a carpet of coral-coloured rooftops and crowned by towering rugged cliffs, Omis really is unmissable. Whether you’re strolling the ancient old town, having a bite to eat in one of the restaurants, or admiring the view across the twinkling Adriatic, your peepers are in for a treat.

This archipelago boasts around 140 islands, reefs and islets, offering plenty of caves for adventurous travellers to explore. The islands are classed as a national park and have grown popular with scuba divers in recent years. Although largely barren, the archipelago is home to stunning rock formations.
Split and Dalmatian Coast
Based in a nature park, the largest lake in Croatia is surrounded by wild heather and reeds and is home to a number of bird species, including wild ducks and egrets. The lake is particularly popular among fisherman because of the variety of fish species in the water, but it's also a great place to stretch your legs if you're after gentle exercise.
