Antas

Antas holidays

This quiet town captures the authentic essence of Spain. It’s a place of narrow cobbled streets and low-rise whitewashed houses. But despite its low-key character, Antas is a town with a rich heritage with fascinating finds linking the area to an entire ancient culture.

A town with history

For a small inland town, Antas has a surprisingly prestigious history. Archaeologists have found evidence that Antas was once the centre of Bronze Age culture named El Argar. You’ll also come across the grand remains of a Roman aqueduct on the outskirts of the town.

Peaceful setting

Lying at the foot of the Filabres mountains, Antas is on a fertile plain encircled by fragrant lemon and orange groves. It makes a peaceful place to take in the natural scenery. In fact, the produce is so good here that the local market is very highly rated.
