Your Festive Break in Colmar

Our Jet2CityBreaks to Colmar fly into Strasbourg airport which offers great transport links to the main train station in Colmar. Transfer time to the Colmar city takes approx. 45 minutes with a change at Strasbourg main station.

The whole of Colmar old town and Petit Venice becomes a magical winter wonderland at Christmas. Twinkling lights, smells of gingerbread and hot wine waft over the narrow streets to entice you to the decorated half-timbered houses and stalls offering trinkets galore.

Smaller than Strasbourg, this boutique city punches above its weigh in the festive season to bring hidden Alsatian delights to your palate and showcases a real story book setting. Here in Colmar over the festive period, it really is Christmas every day!

        Discover Colmar

This pretty town looks as though it’s been plucked from a medieval folk tale, with its higgledy-piggledy, half-timbered houses and quaint canals. We wouldn’t blame you for thinking you’d woken up in the 16th century. You’ll jet into Strasbourg, then it’s less than an hour’s drive or train ride north to reach Colmar. Wander the cobbled streets, cruise the canals of ‘Little Venice’ and linger over long lunches filled with Alsatian wine in cosy (wine bars). This whimsical wonder is great in all seasons, but at Christmas it really shines. It’s then that the streets adorned with blooming geraniums swap them for twinkling lights and pine garlands. With several markets, you can eat, drink and shop your way across the city, soaking up the festive atmosphere as you go.

        the best

It was a very good choice for location based on price. Since we were two families with children, our choice turned out to be very good and we thank the staff for their support.
