Find out moreAlmost an extension of Lygia, Katouna is a small inland village that has gorgeous hillside views. It’s often said to be the oldest village in Lefkas, which will give you a sense of the traditional character of the place. Much of what appeals about Lygia also applies here – look forward to a quiet atmosphere, authentic tavernas and beautiful scenery.

The coastal resort of Lygia is just over a kilometre away, but if you’d like to visit a truly beautiful spot, it’s worth travelling to Pefkoulia Beach. Here, high cliffs add a dramatic backdrop to the sandy shore. Or you could also visit Agios Ioannis Beach in nearby Lefkas Town.
If you don’t fancy venturing out to the coast, there’s still plenty to discover inland. You could head to Siflogo Winery to try locally-produced wines. Plus, the village of Karya is only 10km away, where you’ll find the interesting Karya Folklore Museum.
Katouna, Lefkas
One of the most popular shores in Lefkas, Kathisma Beach offers something for everyone. It has a long stretch of shingle sand, with some gorgeous scenery due to its high-sided cliffs. You’ll also find a big selection of water sports here, as well as sunbeds and umbrellas.
Lefkas
This inland village is the perfect place to stop if you’re exploring the northern part of the island. Experience the traditional Greek way of life among the friendly locals and check out the old houses, some more than 100 years old, that have been transformed into modern restaurants and hotels.
Lefkas
The island’s capital sits on the north-east coast. This typically Greek town has a lively marina and a range of shops and restaurants. Capture those holiday memories at the 50m swing bridge to the mainland – it’s one of the area’s most popular attractions!
