The choice of restaurants and cuisine on offer here is one of the most varied on Lefkas. Of course, that’s not forgetting the brilliant range of authentic tavernas that are perfect for souvlaki and Greek salad. Take your pick from places offering Italian and classic British specialities.
Nidri is the ideal base for exploring some of the local attractions. It’s less than a 4km walk inland towards Rahi village to reach the beauty spot of Nidri Waterfalls. Meanwhile, there’s an archaeological site with ancient ruins and foundations just outside of town.

Desimi Beach boasts naturally stunning surroundings. Its pebble beach leads to translucent turquoise waters, where pine covered mountains rise from the sea. Adding to the idyllic scene, olive trees back the shore, while you’ll also spot the stone arches that create several sea caves.

Follow a stunning waterside canyon trail to reach Nidri Waterfalls. The cliff face of falls towers high above, where a thin trace of water cascades into the cool pool below. The relaxed walk is an experience in itself, but you can also stop off at the café at the beginning of the trail.
