It’s true – an astounding church completes the streets of Xewkiya. This knockout religious building typifies the grand architecture of Gozo, but it’s got a regal, slightly Italian look to it, too. The opulent domed church has a sweeping staircase entrance, but this isn’t the only part of town to admire…
Sitting within a pretty, unblemished valley, you’ll have plenty of views to drink in if you’re keen to explore. Meander around the landscape, or take a seat and rest on the plush hills. There are quaint nearby farmhouses and even Gozo Stadium on the outskirts! You can really set your own agenda.
Malta and Gozo
The Blue Lagoon is famous in Comino for its mesmerising waters and jaw-dropping scenery. It’s well worth a trip as you can go snorkelling and swim in the cool waters at your leisure. Make the most of the area’s dazzling beauty, and pack a picnic for lunch.
Malta and Gozo
Mdina's as spellbinding as they come. Nestled in the heart of the island, this old fortified city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Head through one of the grand gates to enter the 'Silent City' and wander the maze of photogenic streets. Cameras at the ready, as the architecture here is charming with a capital 'C'.
Malta and Gozo
Whether you’re a novice or experienced diver, you can explore the underwater world of Gozo with one of the island’s professional diving centres. Once you’ve been kitted up and shown the ropes, you can start to explore wildlife, wrecks and caves. Xlendi is a particularly popular location for diving in Gozo.
