The Lowdown on Hostels

What is a Hostel?

Looking for a social stay where you can meet new, like-minded people? Say hello to our hostel collection!

These budget-friendly bases are perfect for solo travellers, couples and groups, and usually offer dormitory-style rooms with bunk beds, where multiple guests sleep in the same room with a shared bathroom. Prefer your own space? Many hostels offer private rooms too, along with private bathrooms.

Common areas and shared kitchen facilities generally come as standard, so hostels are ideal if you’re after that community feel. Some even offer organised activities and tours, for those who love getting out and about.

Although hostels may offer padlocks, towels and toiletries to buy or loan, we recommend bringing these items with you just in case they are not available.

Bunking up in a shared dorm!

If you are wanting to book multiple beds in a shared dorm, you will need to search for individual rooms for each adult. For example, to book two beds in a shared dorm, please search for two adults in two rooms.
