Gran Melia Victoria

We are "regulars" here - because we like the hotel. It's clean, very quiet, good location, wonderful breakfast on the terrace overlooking the marina. All the rooms feel luxurious but you have to pay higher prices for a good view. Be aware that if your flight arrives early, you may not have access to your room until later in the day.

Polite and friendly Staff, food gorgeous. Room not overly spacious but our pool and sea view with balcony worth it. 5 minute bus journey to Cathedral, short taxi journey or lovely stroll along promenade.

This hotel is about a 30 min walk from town but it's in a lovely quiet area and there are loads of fab restaurants nearby. The hotel is great - it's a really lovely hotel and the staff are SO nice. 2nd time I've been here and I'll be back!

The hotel and the facilities are certainly five star, but what makes this hotel are the service levels which are consistently first class. We have stayed in some beautiful hotels over the years but it is a long time since we have experienced service levels to compare with those of the Gran Melia Victoria.

Great location in harbor over looking boats with attractive path. 5 euro taxi journey to city center. 6 euros at weekends. Friendly staff and very clean general areas. The bedroom its self was small and furnishings & fixtures were older than you would hope of an Indulgent Escape. It was reasonably clean. Room we were allocated was over delivery bay of hotel not ideal. Average food - 7 night break - no variation in breakfast food and very variable service sometimes good sometimes very poor.. Evening meal food again variable service levels and very small portions. One day the only starter option was a small cold soup.

The bedrooms are good, but worth paying more for a sea view room with a larger balcony. The bathrooms vary - some have the old shower over the bath - others wet rooms. The food in the dining room was outstanding throughout. The outlook on the sea side of the hotel is OK, but the other street side is unfortunately much less impressive. Overall, we liked the hotel very much and met several guests who were frequent residents.

Excellent hotel, staff and location. Exceedingly well looked after and a complimentary bottle of champagne for my partners birthday. Well worth paying extra for the 5 * comforts and service. The drinks are expensive but only to be expected.
