Sant Agusti

Stayed in Barca wanted location near ramblas and this was ideal, just off road and walkable to gothic quarter, rooms were nice tidy and cosy and breakfast selection just right. Fabulous city and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The location of this hotel is perfect. Right in the heart of the shopping area, and yards from the metro made this hotel perfect for going anywhere in the city. The hotel and staff were wonderful.and facilities are perfect for a weekend get away or short stay.

Hotel in excellent location - short walk to La Rambla but accommodation basic . Only 1 member of staff on duty at breakfast which was inadequate for such a busy dining room. Selection of breakfast foods - basic. Room clean but no fridge and safe didn't work!

Fabulous location and set in a lovely square with the beautifulchurch. Very small reception area with a bar and outside seating area we were never able to use as the barman was unwell and staff did not know each day if he would be in. Out of 4 nights stay we were unable to use the bar once. Such a pity as the bar looked onto the square and had beautiful long windows with little balconies. The photos in the jet 2 brochure show a converted nunnery with bookcases at the end of each corridor and in the reception area. These were actually wall paper!! We could have stayed in much cheaper hotels in equally good locations but this one seemed authentic, old and just seemed to have the edge. The rooms were small as stated but were lovely. Furnishings etc and bathroom were great and spotlessly clean. The chap who worked in the breakfast room was very rude to everyone and each morning gesticulated and shouted at us all for sitting in the wrong place, 2 people on a table of 4, opening the beautiful long windows etc. Luckily the Australians and Americans found him amusing. The bar and restaurant next door which also belonged to the hotel was great. We sat outside each night as we couldn't use the hotel bar on the first floor with the views. We ate there once and the food was good and very reasonable. We had a fabulous trip to Barcelona and enjoyed our room at this hotel. But it wasn't worth the cost. We paid for a transfer with jet 2 but we were dropped off and picked up quite a way from the hotel. We saw traffic driving down our street including mini buses albeit not coaches.

We arrived at Santi Agusti in no more than 30 minutes by taxi after getting of the plane with our hand luggage. The check-in process was faultless and our room was ready. It was clean, tidy and just as we expected for a budget hotel just 25 metres off the Ramblas. We were soon off into the vibrant city of Barcelona for our tapas and wine. Going home was just as good. Our friend had a wonderful time here for her first visit to Barcelona.
