Cliff-clinging towns
This stunning coastline packs in plenty of highlights into its teetering towns. Start with pretty Positano. It’s filled with pastel-hued houses, family-run trattorias and a pretty harbour – perfect for living la dolce vita! Minori and Vietri Sul Mare have also been blessed with equally good looks.
Heaps of history
Over in the Salerno region is Paestum – a town and UNESCO World Heritage Site with plenty of history. It’s home to three of the world's best-preserved Greek temples, including the Tempio di Nettuno and Tempio di Cerere. If you’re based on the Amalfi Coast, you’ll be well within day-tripping distance of the iconic ruins of Pompeii too.
Natural beauty
Cilento National Park is a real showstopper, made up of traditional towns, natural wonders, archaeological sites, majestic mountains and sandy swathes. It ticks all the boxes when it comes to stunning scenery. Further down the coast, you can’t miss the stunning sands in Santa Maria di Castellabate or Palinuro’s enchanting blue grottos.
