History on your doorstep
You don’t have to go far to glimpse Skala’s past. A little up the hill you’ll find the ruins of the old village that’s been replaced by the new town. And there’s an ancient temple dedicated to Apollo just down the road.
It’s a knockout
Skala boasts 3km of sand and shingle beach, fringed with pretty pine trees. The town comes with a full back-up of beach bars, while the south end’s perfect for secluded sunbathing. Evenings are spent sampling traditional Greek dishes in local tavernas or sipping a cocktail in one of the chilled-out beach bars. The walk up to Old Skala passes by old windmills and a watermill.

This stunning beach is considered one of the most beautiful in Kefalonia. It's 3km of sand and shingle, and the clear waters make it excellent for snorkelling. Hire one of the many sunbeds on offer or just take your beach towel – there’s plenty of room. Along the coast road, there are heaps of bars and tavernas offering service on the beach too.

Find this beautiful Blue Flag beach on the furthest southern point of the island. It's one of the longest beaches in Kefalonia and is quieter than most. There’s one snack bar, a taverna and plenty of sunbeds to go around, and the area’s less touristy than some of the other bays. The sandy beach and its shallow incline make it a family fave, but it’s long enough to snap up some space by yourself.

This pretty harbour village surrounded by pebbly beaches has an atmosphere of traditional Greek hospitality. It’s a popular stop off for sailing boats and there are some great waterside cafes and tavernas. You have to try the wood-fired bread from the local bakery. It is also home to a well-regarded diving school.
Free Child Places
Free Child Places Terms & Conditions
- Availability - Free Child places are subject to availability and are only applicable on selected accommodation / departure dates / departure points / room types and board basis. Free Child Places may be added or withdrawn at any time prior to booking and the latest availability will be shown prior to booking.
- Price and charges - The basic flight fare (including all taxes and non-optional charges), one piece of check-in baggage, accommodation and coach transfers form the ‘FREE’ element of the price. All other ancillary charges on the flight or during the holiday, such as legroom and in-flight meals, room upgrades, and optional meal arrangements, and for villas, pool heating, shall be chargeable.
- Other passengers required on booking - one Free Child place is available when there are at least 2 passengers paying the full adult price. There can only be one Free Child place per room on the booking (except for villa products where there can only be one Free Child place per villa). With the exception of villa products, multiple Free Child places can be booked as long as there are at least 2 passengers paying the full adult price per child place and each Free Child place is assigned into a different room and there is availability of free child places. Where a party consists of one adult and two children, one child will be charged the full adult price and the other child will receive the Free Child place.
- Child Age - The child age where a Free Child would be applicable is displayed on the accommodation description page of the brochure and on our website. The child age on the date of return must not exceed the specified age to be applicable to a Free Child.
- Deposit - The full deposit must be paid for the Free Child place and the deposit will be deducted from the final holiday invoice. This will be displayed at time of booking.
- Cancellation - If you cancel your holiday there will be a £60 charge payable in respect of the child, in addition to any charges set out in clause 5 above.
- Changing your holiday - If you change your holiday then, in addition to the terms set out in clause 5 above, you will be obliged to pay the new price of the new holiday (less any deposit) and the amendment fees per person in place at that time if you change from: (i) a holiday with Free Child availability to one without Free Child availability; or (ii) a holiday with no Free Child availability to one with Free Child availability. However, if you change from a holiday with no Free Child availability to a holiday with Free Child availability, this shall be treated as a cancellation, the terms set out in clause 6 above shall apply and you shall be obliged to pay the new holiday price, including a new deposit, together with a the relevant cancellation fees for the original booking. Your original deposit shall not be refunded.
- Where we change your holiday – no compensation is provided for Free Child places.
- Free Child places cannot be combined with any other promotions or offers, unless otherwise stated.
Infants Go Free
Infants go FREE on all villa holidays with Jet2Villas
- An infant is classed as under 24 months and must be under 24 months on the return date of travel
- Discount will automatically be applied at the time of booking
- Offer valid on villa holidays booked from Friday 2nd March 2012 at 2pm
- Jet2Villas reserve the right to amend or remove this promotion at any time prior to a customer booking
- Applicable to new bookings only
- Customers must be aged 18 or over to place a booking
- If dates are changed by customer after the promotional period, or changes made to flight/villa holiday dates outside of the promotional period the discount will no longer apply
