Great staff very amenable... exceptionally clean hotel great walk in showers very clean bedrooms.The free shuttle a great asset as slightly out of Skala itself.Foid was very good .

8 male middle aged friends could not have found a better place to be. Fantastic location with wonderful views. 2 miles outside Skala is ideal. Great service from Yannis who happily took us into Skala on the shuttle bus each evening. If you are considering a tril to Skala i would highly recommend the Asteris.

Lovely accommodation, food and service, would definitely go back again. Pool excellent and really enjoyed the BBQ night. Would book Bread and Breakfast next time as well worth it. All the staff friendly and helpful.

We loved the views and the special attention from Yiannis as well as the simplicity and quietude here - cannot wait to return. The room was spacious if not well equipped for self catering it was adequate and whenever there were any problems they were resolved immediately. Some may be concerned by the additional cost of the air conditioning but it was only 6euro a day and the taxis into town at the same price gave the freedom that the hotel bus did not. The many restaurants which serve excellent food in Skala ensured we made the trip every night but we cannot comment on the food at the hotel as we did not eat there. The pool was clean with spectacular views and there was only one occasion when we were not able to get a sunbed. A lovely holiday

What can I say - this property was amazing. The views from the hotel are breath taking. The staff are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in room 124 and the view was amazing. I would not hesitate in recommending this property to anyone. We will definitely be visiting again. I have fell in love with Kefalonia and can not wait to visit again.

We were made welcome from the minute we arrived. Costa and Janus calmed my wife's nerves when Jet 2 managed to lose our luggage between the airport and hotel ! Room was fab, food was great and staff very friendly and helpful. Only potential drawback for some is hotel is quite a way out of Scala although a minibus runs 3/4 times a day and taxi is only 6 euros. We will definitely be going again !

Asteris Hotel far exceeded our expectation from the moment we arrived. Excellent roomy accommodation kept spotlessly clean. Excellent buffet breakfast served at the side of the pool overlooking the sea. Excellent taverna for lunchtime and evening meals. Everybody working at this hotel seemed to enjoy it from the man cleaning the pool, to the cleaners, reception staff all were happy and friendly. A pleasure to stay here.

Spent a week in early June at Asteris to celebrate my wife and I reaching 65 plus our wedding anniversary. Our party included our 2 children, partners, and their 4 small children. Our daughter and husband had stayed at the hotel previously and recommend it. Clean, very friendly staff, good food breakfast and the occasional meal. We tend to support local restaurants on our travels usually. But with the small children we sometime ate at the hotel. Great views. All round excellent hotel. Not for loud tattooed types.

Great hotel very clean and with excellent facilities, Very friendly staff that made us feel very welcome. Rooms were kept clean and tidy daily with regular bedding changes. Pool and bar area spotless with fabulous views. Will appeal to a large variety of people however large parties were not to the owners liking so keep the numbers down
