Continental Hotel Budapest

Whilst you wouldn't necessarily realise it from outside the building, once inside it is truly beautiful. The staff were friendly, particularly the doorman. Our room was large and very clean and breakfast was spot on. A great location too, especially for accessing local bars and restaurants. Whilst it is a fair walk down to the river that didn't bother us at all and we managed to see much that Budapest has to offer in the 3 days we were there. We did however clock up the miles!

Impressive looking hotel, from the front door, the lobbies and the rooms. Breakfast lovely but very busy! Drinks in the hotel are great and the vibe is so nice. Room was cosy but very sophisticated inside and a great shower. Loved the location too! So close to so much, food, drinks and sights. Would definitely return!

We loved this hotel for its pleasant, helpful staff, lovely, spacious rooms with comfortable beds, power shower, clean sheets and towels every day and the biggest range of breakfast food you could hope for.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Continental Hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a good location in the Jewish quarter. It's easy to walk to the major sights from the hotel and pick up the excellent public transport system to go further afield. We would have loved to have used the spa facilities at the hotel but didn't have the time because we were out doing other things.

Fantastic public rooms but very small bed rooms. Good breakfast did not try evening meal. Concerge and bell boys, Great entrance with revolving door. Booked hop on hop off at the reception this saved a lot time at the bus stop

Excellent hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Very good buffet style breakfast with lots of choice (meats, eggs, cereal, fruit etc.) Had a standard size room which was slightly small but very clean and comfortable. As only there a few nights this didn't matter. The hotel is not far from the Jewish quarter where there were some good bars. If you want to use the swimming pool and gym you will have to pay extra for this. If I ever went to Budapest again I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Take the chance to travel in Budapest. Enjoy the food as it is very well priced and delicious at the same time. Don't always get that. Hop on Hop off not really fun. Use other means of transport. Get a taxi from Airport to Hotel. Much easier and just as cheap as pre-booked transport. Use the hotel services to book trips. They also give you info on good eating places. Pool, hot tub and sauna wonderful. Plan well if you take a short break as you can get exhausted very quickly just wandering especially if of the older clientele.

A beautiful hotel in a fairly central location, even though it's on quite a busy road we didn't have any problem with noise. Our bedrooms were standard rooms, quite a small bathroom but very clean. Only down side - the towels were poor quality and well used! Gallery cafe is worth a visit- friendly, polite staff and the best hot chocolate I've ever tasted. Breakfast was plentiful and hot with a good variety of food on offer.

Lovely hotel in a good location. Very clean and a wide variety of hot and cold dishes at breakfast. Upstairs bar stylish and a a cosy place for a night cap. The only downside was you had to pay to use the pool which was in need of refurbishing.

Standard double room was adequate size. Rooms were exceptionally clean and maid service was sometimes done twice daily. Bathroom was lovely with a great shower. Hotel lobby was amazing with original Art Deco features. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful , with a good understanding of English. On our last day taxi to airport was late and reception staff phoned Taxi company for us Breakfast was plentiful and stress free. Hotel is situated in the Jewish quarter and although not set in the nicest part of the city it was central for all Budapest has to offer, Budapest itself was a lovely city would definitely recommend going to Heroes Square and the park adjacent to it, it was amazing. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location for sightseeing. Th estaff were extremely attentive, and all the facilities were excellent. Highly recommened to anyone wanting to visit Budapest and looking for a really high quality, well located hotel at a reasonable cost.

The hotel accommodation was of a high standard, very clean with good food. They had some local entertainment on certain evenings which was enjoyable. We really enjoyed our stay. Some of the staff could learn how to smile.
