Beautifully renovated old hotel combines the best of the old and the new good location bedrooms at the front with view of a very busy square including tramline breakfast was great staff friendly and helpful would visit again.
The hotel's position close to the metro makes it very easy to get around Budapest by public transport. Very helpful staff who really make you feel welcome. The hotel has been restored sympathetically, retaining a wonderful staircase and a huge stained glass ceiling in the dining area, whilst the bedrooms are modern and comfortable, and thought has gone into the layout. Our room faced the road but we could not hear the traffic with the window closed. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with lots of variety in the buffet and the option of omelettes etc cooked to order. The sauna is available at no charge and towelling robes and slippers are provided. Overall a thoroughly relaxing and comfortable stay.
Loved Budapest the city the people the food and the hotel, situated in the heart of budapest it was perfect for buses and trams. Restaurants were plenty and offered great variety's of food to suit everyone's taste . Plenty to do and see day and night , will definetly go back.
This was our second visit to the Nemzeti and it was every bit as good as the first. Although slightly further away from the main tourist area, transport links are right on the doorstep with no. 4 & 6 trams and Line 2 metro, so getting around was never a problem. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and, although rooms are a bit on the small side, they are perfectly adequate for a city break stay (bathroom in our room this time was a bit of a squash!). We ate in the hotel on our first evening and the food was good - but breakfast is great! (Tip: Stock up at breakfast to see you right through the day). The staff are excellent and very helpful and most speak very good English. Would have not hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone.
Can't fault this hotel really. Rooms are nice, staff are nice, it's in a good location regarding metro and walking, breakfast is really good. Had one issue with the shower although it was minor, the drain cover rattled when another room flushed their toilet Although we were only there for 3 nights and this didn't really affect us that much so we didn't complain

The basic flight fare (including all taxes and non-optional charges), one piece of check-in baggage, accommodation and coach transfers if stated form the ‘FREE’ element of the price. All other ancillary charges on the flight or during the holiday, such as extra legroom and in-flight meals, room upgrades, and optional meal arrangements, and for villas, pool heating, shall be chargeable. Please note, transfers are not included within a Jet2CityBreaks booking.
One Free Child Place is available when there are at least 2 passengers paying the full price. There can only be one Free Child Place per room, or per villa, on the booking. With the exception of villa products, multiple Free Child Places can be booked as long as there are at least 2 passengers paying the full price per child place, each Free Child Place is assigned into a different room and there is availability of Free Child Places. Where a party consists of one adult and two children, one child will be charged the full price applicable to their age and the other child will receive the Free Child Place.
The child age where a Free Child Place would be applicable is displayed on the accommodation description page of the brochure and on our website. The child age on the date of return must not exceed the specified age to be applicable to a Free Child Place.
The full deposit must be paid for the Free Child Place and the deposit will be deducted from the final holiday invoice. This will be displayed at time of booking. If you cancel your holiday there will be a £60 charge payable in respect of the child, in addition to any charges set out in clause 5 of our terms and conditions.
