Sol Costa Daurada & PortAventura Theme Park

All staff were pleasant and helpful. Wide range of food available but I had a few difficulties as I am vegetarian and some of the dishes were not labelled. You are not allowed to take your morning tea or coffee out of the restaurant so you have to buy one at the bar in reception. The balcony does not have a little table so I 'borrowed' one from the pool area. There were plenty so it was not an issue. Ask at reception for directions to the local shop and they will give you a map. We didn't and got a bit lost on our first day. Takes about 10/15 minutes to walk to the local shop. Indoor pool/jacuzzi - You have to buy a swimming cap for 3 Euros.

I and my family have just returned from a ten night break in the Sol Costa Daurada hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Our rooms were cleaned daily with clean towels and bedding. The food was plentiful with lots of choice although some food I felt could of been hotter. The pool was clean although some of the outside furniture needs updating. My daughter celebrated her birthday and the hotel were able to supply a birthday cake with some of the staff singing happy birthday to her which was nice. The animation team worked really hard and got guests involved with activities. Tonni the barman was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The hotel is about a 20-30 minutes stroll to the beach but overall a lovely hotel and no complaints

Just returned from a 7 night holiday at this hotel. We all had a wonderful time. Great location, close to shops, beach and theme parks. Lovely food with lots of variation on a daily basis. Great animation team- lots of fun for kids and adults. You will always get a sun bed!! No matter what time you go to the pool. Make note that the kids can't use large inflatables- maybe a sign by the pool to pre warn parents would be helpful before they purchase them! My kids spent every day at the pool and loved it, great atmosphere with a nice pool bar. All staff were lovely and friendly. We would def return and would reccomend this hotel if you have a family!!!

Hotel food not very hot. Evening meal starts to late ie 7pm, Entertainment mainly for Spanish. TV in Spanish German Russian chinese and French. No English except a 24hr french news in English. 20 mins walk to the sea front. Taxis start at 7euros (surcharges).

Hotel is clean and rooms are spacious. Location is great for Port Aventura, Ferrari Land and the centre of Salou. Food in the hotel is very poor - inedible not properly cooked food, not much choice, poor cuts of meat/fish used. Rude staff in restaurant.

I was not happy with this hotel the rooms was very clean and the towels was changed everyday which was lovely but the food was not to my liking and also ht was not hot enough I did find a microwave so I used to put my breakfast and dinner into warm it up and also I thought the dinning room was very basic. The pool area was okay but there wasn't any shade in the heat of the day you need a bit of shade the umbrellas if you got one that was not Brocken used to blow down in the breeze we have been to Salou a few times and I love everything about it but I don't think we will stop at this hotel again but that's me.

Good location, very clean rooms and bathroom, poolside rooms can be effected by the entertainment but the road side is pleasantly quiet at night, non pool side overlooks Ferrari Land and Portaventura ( about 1000 m away).Food good quality and quite varied although cold plates caused food to cool quickly. Pub connected to hotel is like home from home, Large screen and serves Guiness Please ignore reviews about food not being varied because if you eat all meats and fish each meal (which you don't at home) what other options are there? even the sweets taste good, not bland. Theme park well worth a visit
