Elba Premium Suites

We booked the Elba premium suites as it was advertised as Adult Only . The only thing that was were our accommodation was a restaurant and a separate bar ! All the main entertainment was in the family side of the complex. We had a small pool with a bar also .There were more children around the complex than we were expecting. The only plus side was the accommodation, it was cleaned daily and very nice and luckily ours was at the far end away from the main complex. Luckily the pool bar was nice food as the main restaurant was appalling. The staff didn't offer drinks and were unattentive when you walked in , no organisation at all The food was basic and if they ran out of anything it wasn't replaced , no way was it four * service or quality. Thankfully the only decent meal we had was at the steak night which was a extra for premium guests. Overall we were really disappointed for the cost of the holiday and will not be returning and recommending.

this is the second time i have stayed here, again a lovey stay, friendly staff, very clean and rooms are spacious and comfy, will defiantly be returning.

Great hotel for a solo traveller. Short break for r&r. Friendly staff in all areas. Room location perfect, close to pool and snack bar. Spa treatments excellent. Plenty of choice in restaurant, breakfast superb.

Firstly, I would like to say that I will give an honest review with the pros and cons to this hotel. Most of the positive reviews have been written by families with children. I strongly believe that if you go as a family with children then your experience will be a lot better than if you are going for an adults only experience. During our two week stay at this hotel we are sad to say that we were very disappointed. It’s the small things that count which we feel this hotel is lacking. We booked an adults only stay all Inclusive which we spent a lot of money for. The main pool area was full of kids and the adult only pool area was tiny and cramped. Families with children could use the main pool area which is a stunning area. We thought we would be able to use some of this area, children free, but this was not the case so we didn’t end up using this area at all which we were gutted about. The hotel was great for families with children as this hotel caters more for them. They had lots of activities and entertainment for kids, arcades, slides, sand areas, bigger buffet restaurant and more food options at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Although the hotel was beautiful with great potential, we were disappointed from the get go. We arrived in the morning and were told that our room would not be ready until 3pm. This apparently was in the small print but we had no idea. Also on arrival we were not greeted with champagne or any drinks although we saw that other people were getting this treatment on arrival. Then we were then told that because we didn’t have the “prestige” package, we had to pay 4 euros a day to use the safe in our rooms. We have never stayed at a hotel were they charge you to use the safe. I think this was disgusting as we already paid an arm and a leg for this holiday. Furthermore the food and hygiene of this hotel was the MOST concerning. My partner and myself were sick and we think this was due to the flies constantly sitting on the food. There were no fly machines and they just constantly sat on the food which made us very unwell. A fly even came out of the coffee machine in my cappuccino which luckily floated to the top dismantled before I drank it. Coffee machines were temperamental and were often out of service in the adults only restaurant near reception which was frustrating. Being a four star hotel, we are sad to say that cockroaches were running into buffet area. We understand that you will see some in the outdoor areas but not running past you as you are eating. It was really off putting. The hotel itself and the food areas were not air conditioned (although the hotel had air con) making it extremely uncomfortable to eat at times when the weather was really hot. We felt sorry for staff who had to stay in there for long periods of time. There were a few water machines around the hotel which were not maintained as they were mostly empty or warm. The food variation was a little off. Nothing seemed to go with anything. Very repetitive and random rice and pasta dishes which had nothing to go with. My partner and I are not fussy eaters but really struggled to find food. Some nights we hardly ate. Another hygiene issue was that everyday the plates and cups had food marks on them like they hadn’t been washed properly. A lot of people were disgusted by this. You had to search for clean plates on a daily basis. Plates were left on tables for long periods of time by staff, making it hard to find a clean table to sit and eat your food. This also didn’t help with the fly situation because they were sitting on the plates that had been left there. There were some friendly and helpful staff but the majority were very poker faced and just seemed like they did not want to be there. Staff morale was low. Anytime you asked them for something they had no or very little English and didn’t seem bothered about helping. They didn’t understand basic english like where are the bowls? Can I have coffee with caffeine? Can I have water and sparkling water? I had to get up and show the waitress what sparkling water was. Communication was a struggle. Saying this, this does exclude reception staff as although some spoke no English, there was always someone available that spoke English. No complaints about reception staff as they were always willing to help and didn’t make you feel uncomfortable when you asked them a simple question like some of the food staff did. Also with your stay you get to book the a La carte restaurant. There are two restaurants but we booked “La Nonna”. Main meal was okay and deserts were really nice but the starter was just a cold salad buffet with bread. Furthermore the adult pool area bar was never opened on time. One time it was 10:45am and they still hadn’t opened and we had found out that they were trying to call the bar man as he had over slept. Another issue was that the beach was advertised as 600m away (Flamingo beach) but this was not the case. It was a lot further than this. We were disappointed as we thought we would have easy access and still be able to use our all inclusive package but it was so far that this was not possible. Also this beach has no sunbeds so you have to sit on your towels on the sand. Lastly, as we were leaving, we asked for help to bring our suitcases to the main reception as we had two big suitcases, two mini ones plus our hand luggage but we were told that there was no one available to help us so we were left to struggle bringing our luggage up to reception which wasn’t a short walk away. The positives were that the hotel itself was stunning. Lots of unusual trees surrounding the area which were well maintained. The hotel itself has great potential to be amazing. They provide you with fresh water in your room each day which surprisingly they didn’t charge us for. Your room was cleaned everyday and cleaners worked extremely hard and greeted you with friendly smiles. The junior suites were lovely, spacious, had a big walk in shower and we had our own sun beds in the garden which were surrounding by beautiful palm trees. We have no complaints about the food served at the adults only bar near the pool. This was only available at lunch times. The food was exceptional. It was a set menu and everything we tried was very good quality. The hotel had a free shuttle bus that takes you to a very beautiful beach called playa Dorada. This arrives very promptly and takes you to the beach in about 10-15mins. The sand is white, beautiful and soft. The water is very clear. We saw swarms of fish in the water. This beach was our favourite part of our stay. Beds and umbrellas cost 4 euros each. Therefore every time we visited the beach we paid 12 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. The hotel give you one free entry to use the thalassotherapy pool which was nice. If you go for the prestige package, you are allowed to use it once everyday. My partner and I also went for the relaxing massage (50mins) which we highly recommend. It was definitely worth the money. We tried to book in another one before we left but they are so busy that you had to book a week in advance.

Great hotel, with friendly staff.Good selection of food & drinks. Ideal to relax in the adults only part of hotel with separate bar & pool.Evening entertainment quiet,but easy listening while sipping on a cocktail or two.

Enjoyable stay, good food, staff were excellent especially the bar staff, service good Bungalows split into four rooms with own garden area and sunbeds all kept spotlessly clean. Adult pool area was a bit of a squeeze some days for sunbeds, but nice and peaceful. Food at lunch time in the restaurant by the adult pool was very good, just on side issue plastic glass's in adult area were OK, but needed more of them.

We've just come back from a week in this beautiful hotel. Large comfortable suite with private patio and garden. The hotel staff were fabulous and very hard working and made our stay really enjoyable. Our week away was not only to get some sun on our bones but to rest and relax. This hotel more than fit the bill

The Adult exclusivity was key to a peaceful and relaxing 'fly and flop' holiday. We greatly appreciated our own facilities such as pool, bar and restaurant. Food was varied and of a high quality - strangely, much better than the 'a la carte' Occasional housekeeping error (no towels one day, no tea/coffee another) but quickly rectified. Beware high charges for the room safe at 4 Euros per day. Recommend All-inclusive option.

Just arrived back from the Elba Premium Suites great holiday. The whole hotel area, grounds, facilitys are very clean. Good size rooms comfy beds very clean. Good choice of food. No complaints about this hotel would go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Adult only section of this hotel. Positives for us were (i) the spacious and well maintained grounds and gardens, (ii) the spotlessly clean room with a very comfortable bed and a good shower (good water pressure & hot water supply), we also appreciated the Nespresso machine and daily supply of bottled water (iii) fantastic staff. Particular thanks to Chus, Esther and all the staff in the Jameos pool bar who made a real positive difference to our holiday enjoyment. Also thanks to the staff in the adult only Mirador restaurant (Alex, Yennifer, Gina ) and chill out bar (Diego) who looked after us so well. (iv) reasonable hotel evening entertainment; some was bit lacking but overall did what it is supposed to … it entertained us ! The Soul Man in the chill out bar was our favourite. (v) the food was good quality and sufficiently varied vs the price we paid for the HB package.An area for improvement would be to extend the number of tracks that are played on a loop throughout the hotel beyond just one artist's album so that we did not have to keep saying "it's George Michael again". We also thought the food in the 'a la carte' restaurants was not as good as the Mirador; whereas we hoped that it would be better than the regular offering given it is marketed as being 'an extra'. There was also an occasional sewage smell in the adults only area which was rather unpleasant.Overall we loved the hotel (we knew from the Jet2 description that the location was a bit out of town and this did not bother us as achieved the daily 10,000 steps !), the staff are a real asset to the business and we would stay again.

My husband and I stayed here at the adult only section for a week over New Year and absolutely loved it. Accommodation: Rooms were spotless with daily maid service. Pillow menu and very comfortable beds made for a good nights sleep! Rooms well equipped with tea / coffee/ bottles of water. Lovely terrace to sit out or sunbathe. Adult only pool area: Again this was spotless and we managed to get a sun bed in the same spot every day. Very peaceful and pool bar was great for late breakfast / lunch and drinks! Location: easy walk down to the main part of Playa Blanca using the gates to save walking round from reception! Secure too as had to use key to get in / out of the gates. Entertainment: was of a very high standard and very enjoyable ! New Years Eve was excellent and the audience were encouraged to participate in singing along / dancing ! Was a really great night! Watched the fireworks from outside El Mirador bar and mingled with some lovely guests. Food: as a fussy eater, I was delighted that I didn’t have to eat out from the hotel this year! El Mirador had a good selection every night and themed cooking, all of which was very enjoyable - always managed to find something really tasty. Los Jameos was great for a bite to eat at lunch, especially their Ceasar salad which was delicious !! And last but not least the staff:An absolute credit to the Elba Suites and they should be proud of their team. My husband and I would particularly like to mention Antonio at El Mirador chill out bar. He made us feel like VIP guests every night when he served us and nothing was too much trouble for him! Also Ester , Alej and Chuss at Los Jameos were so friendly and all of them made you feel special! This service would make us want to return to the Elba Suites!A fabulous New Year break and thank you to all the staff who made our holiday special.

This hotel and everything about it is just outstanding. The way it looks, eg reception, pool area, suites is beautiful. The foodis amazing. Definately recommend all inclusive Because there is many restaurants you can use, kid free, Italian, French, main one...the choice of food is so good, they have themed nights also which they put alot of effort into. Waiting staff and bar staff work so hard always with a smile on their face.. Antonio, Jose, so many of them. And then the entertainment team do not get enough credit. Hardest workers ever. So much stuff to do for the kids, adults and at night time they do good shows. So friendly.. Federico spoke to us for ages he is so nice, Sofia, Danny, Elena, everyone is that team work so hard to make the place so upbeat and great for kids . Also have a huge car park for cars if u rent one, good location 10/15 mins walk to beach. Everything was perfect thank you from the cleaners to the managers. It was great
