HOVIMA Jardin Caleta Aparthotel

Very budget hotel, rooms very dated but clean. Swimming pool area nice but needed a thorough clean on the tiles Food was good, evening entertainment was very poor. Location was beautiful but too far out for a big family although taxis were available quite quickly. I wouldn’t return to this hotel.

We paid extra for a side sea view room, it was very dated but very clean. We were on too 3rd floor with great sunny balcony overlooking la Gomera and sunsets. Breakfast was good selection, evening meals could be better, but we always found something to eat. We paid extra to have a drink with evening meal it it was barely half a glass of wine, a bit stingy.

We stayed here for a week on half board from the 3 Feb. We had to change rooms because we had a view of the carpark. We paid more for a view of the hangliders(much better) On the first night half of the restaurant was closed and booked for sports people. We waited for 30 mins. Then the food was mediocre to say the least. We had to collect our own cutlery as well as food. The sports people had set tables. We tried the restaurant the next night. Choice of chips or rice and one other vegetable. After that we ate out every night. La Caleta is a lovely unspoilt village but this hotel seems to be a centre for european teenagers to train. Why was this not on the Jet2 website? The teenagers were very wellbehaved but the hotel seemed to put their needs before that of other guests.

Lovely quiet hotel had side sea view room ample room for 2 very clean and comfy beds all basics covered very good restaurant lovely choice of food cooked well a d always hot All staff very friendly and heloful

The hotel position was perfect,we had sea views/beach aswell and the layout of the apartment was good..the hotel was not so great!..the meal times were a nightmare the layout was crazy and the dinning room not big enough to cater comfortably with the amount of holiday makers..this also applies to the pool area,only one side of pool heated, it was like sardines in a can! it wasnt for us but we did enjoy the views!

Recently returned from a relaxing week at this great hotel. The location was perfect for us as we like to stay in quieter areas away from the lively resorts. We were made aware that there would be possible noise from roadworks next to the hotel but we honestly weren't aware of much noise at all. Our room was clean with fab views from balcony towards the sea. The room had everything we needed and was well set out. Slept very well , beds firm but comfy. Very happy with the cleaning, no problems at all. All staff at the hotel were pleasant and helpful. The food was good if not spectacular, i suppose all tastes have to be catered for and overall there was plenty of choice. The staff all work very hard so thank you to them as we could see they have to deal with all kinds of people. The hotel facilities were very good, a lovely pool and rooftop jacuzzi. We loved the area , a great variety of beaches and lovely walks from hotel. Not much going on in the evening so if you want a lively resort this isnt for you. Hope to visit again next year.

We would like keep this hotel to our self,we was absolutely amazed by service ,cleanness and welcoming staff.We arrived late and our dinner was left at fridge in room,room very simple but cozy and clean.Beds comfy but it will be nice to have just double bed instead of 2 singles together. Kitchenette well equipped We was happy to do not have air con but fan,and balcony to open and sat at evening.Our daughter was more than happy to rest at sofa and watch cartoons at spear time..Food was lovely and as we are vegetarians and vegans,there was plenty of choice from British breakfast to pancakes,soy milk,lactose free,granola's etc.At evening always a lot of salads,fruits,veggie.Staff was very helpful and friendly.Absolutely great Halloween with all vampire team.We would like thank you to ALL STAFF to make our holidays great.We wish and would back to you soon.

Three of us stayed here in Oct 2018. Found staff friendly, efficient and eager to help, all that is except reception staff who were less keen to be of assistance. Not hugely, but they were just vaguely uninterested. All other staff were great, the hotel was spotlessly clean and we saw evidence of a keeness to keep it that way. The food was plentiful and of a good standard with plenty available. The position of the hotel suited us perfectly, being at "the end" of the developed area and the walkway that would take you all the way to Los Christianos. Black sand beach 50 metres away.

Poor room spoke to reception 4 times regarding bugs in the room I had mecial equipment in there and kept having to clean it all despite reporting it bedding was made daily how ever not changed once in the week we was there not happy we had to pay at end of week this should be a choice to pay daily probably won’t return here
