Sol Sun Beach

We had a studio apartment which was ok but it was on one of the lower floors so had to climb stairs to everything, the dining room, the pool area and even to go out as there are no lifts. This wasn’t good for me as I have angina and also arthritis in my joints. The breakfast wasn’t to my taste but we found a cafe where we went for breakfast the last 3 days. The maids service was superb can’t fault them at all.

For a 3 star hotel, the roof terrace is one of the best on Fanabe Beach. It is beautifully designed with panoramic views and very unlikely to have neighbouring loungers too close. The pool is large and wonderfully heated and clean with lovely garden landscaping. Every one is welcome but as there are no drinks packages there are no party people and the atmosphere is respectfully and very relaxing. There are catwalk pool events and the odd foam party for the kids but generally it is a peaceful with the liveliness of distant bands playing. The food is good quality homemade I.e. fresh not processed. It is 3 star so not luxurious and can be limiting but a different menu is served Every day and they really try to offer value and quality. The chefs are particularly focused to support allergens. Wine is on tap and dreadful though. There is almost no entertainment but the hotel is ideally in the hub of the lively promenade full of restaurants and brasseries. It all is quiet after 11pm too. The rooms are very well designed with excellent quality furnishings. Only downside is double rooms are counted as studios , large with two rooms and a bathroom but located on the promenade with no privacy. You can enjoy the buzz of the promenade life if you fancy that. Only downside there is often no bar in the evenings and there's no gym. Hotel is very clean with professional, helpful, staff. Overall I'd highly recommend this 3 star hotel.

Lovely apartments spotless clean and well cared for on a good location. We stayed B&B but used the hotel restaurant only 3/6 mornings for breakfast, not the worst ever but not to the standard of the rest of the establishment. Pool/garden area immaculate.

Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff and lovely clean apartments pleny of amenities within walking distance and short walk to beautiful beach, lots of bars and restaurants around this area all with very reasonable prices

The Sun Sol Beach Apartments are located in a great area. The hotel is very clean and the food was excellent. My wife and I stayed on a half board basis and couldn't believe it was only a 3 star, the choice of the food available at breakfast and evening meals was of a very high standard indeed.

Poor breakfast quality with the standard of food being very low. Limited opening times meant that we had to wait for a table a few times. There also seemed to be issues with hot water early in the morning and later during the stay it would go from scalding hot to cold. There was some reasonable entertainment in the evenings but one one occasion no draught beer available in the bar and the cocktails seemed to have negligible amounts of alcohol in them. Staff were otherwise friendly and efficient.

hotel fine once we got room sorted out,breakfast not so clever,caters more for the german market I think,rooms fine,very clean and hotel staff were great.hotel position is great,ideal for everything really.

Excellent room with a sea view after reading other reviews about noise was quite concerned but had no problems at all. Sun terrace plenty of beds to relax .Staff all very nice . Breakfast could have been hotter was our only problem although there was plenty of choice .
