Hotel Materada Plava Laguna

came last year and wanted to return and did hot disappoint.this hotel is spotless.the food is ok and the rooms are a bit small but you get used to it .the staff are very nice except for some of the bar staff.the public ares are excellent would definitely return.a special mention tp pejo in the bar he is great.

Food was awful, location too far away and no transport texcept for a 9.25 am bus once a day. No sunbeds as people reserved them. Entertainment catered for the German holidaymakers no English.room clean but small as in we had to put our cases on the balcony. Lots of seagulls as people throwing food from balconys. Would pick another area if I went again as no bars, just eating places.

Good = excellent pool if you can get a sunbed. Clean environment. Beautiful location. Spacious communal areas.The waiters at the pool bar were friendly.Bad. Poor quality food & not enough basics available...especially coffee & drinks also bread at breakfast. No prosecco available at breakfast as advertised for 3☆+ service stopping much earlier than advertised so don't wait for a late breakfast or dinner there won't be one! No mats on sun beds so people having to buy their own. Charge for sun beds on beach and grass area belonging to hotel. Small bedrooms dreadful pillows. Staff cold & avoidant. No drinks or food allowed by the pool.

Good location, great facilities, large indoor lounging areas, large dining facilities, wide-ranging menus. Friendly staff who keep the hotel running smoothly. Variety of entertainment for adults and children. Pool bar staff deserve a special mention, making the holiday very enjoyable.

A good 3* hotel, slightly out of town, Pejo and bar staff v. good, plenty of pretty good quality food, entertainment most nights but same acts for 2 or 3 days at once then another duo 2 or 3 days a bit repetative

This is a really lovely hotel which is under rated andshould be 4 Star; it's location is a little way out of the beautiful town of Porec and a good 40 minute walk via the coast. Very clean and modern hotel; bedrooms are rather small and not a lot of storage for your clothes. The food was good there is something for everyone and in the evenings this included drinks, wine, beer and soft drinks. The dining room has a lovely outside terrace which is lovely dining al fresco; just one problem the seagulls are rife they dive onto tables where food has been left and whilst people were still dining they could be quite nasty; but then guests don't help the matter they pile their plates full of food and leave what they can't eat - such a waste particularly in the economic climate some of these countries are experiencing. The entertainment team were very good both during the daytime and evenings. Unfortunately we witnessed something very sad and the Management were very respectful to the family and all guests and cancelled entertainment for a couple of days and appeared to assisting the family greatly. I would highly recommend this hotel and the beautiful surrounding areas.

We love this hotel it was beautiful, very clean, had a good choice of meals for breakfast and evening meal, hot and cold meals for supper. You could have full English breakfast everyday and lots more! The hotel was half an hour away from Porec we walked along the beach and through a lovely park to reach Porec there is a bus one could get outside the hotel but we preferred to walk. Porec was spectacular and not busy like other resorts as we went in May just right for us! The hotel had a very large swimming pool and you could play tennis and other sports there too. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much. I would recommend the hotel it exceeded our expectations and we would go again.
