Anagenessis Village Hotel

Stayed here with my wife for one week 19th June 2019 to 26th June 2019. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a lovely young girl and given a drink of a local liqueur and a sweet. Our room number was 304. The room had one bedroom with double bed and the other room was open plan dining area with two sofas which were bed sofas. The kitchen area was fine, fridge, kettle and cooking hob. From this room there was a sliding door out onto the balcony which was really big, table and 4 chairs and without doubt the best view in the hotel. The pool area could be seen together with mountains to the left and views of the sea from this balcony. We were bed and breakfast, there was an ample selection of cooked items, breads, meats and cheeses. Jams, yoghurts cereals and coffee, tea, etc. The hotel bar prices were reasonable and they offered a lunchtime menu and an evening menu. We had one lunch and three evening meals at the hotel and found the food really lovely, freshly cooked and very good sized portions. We had a club sandwich one lunchtime and this was lovely, I recommend anyone to try this and it's enough for two people. We both had the souvlaki, steaks, chicken and joined in the Greek evening meal on the evenings we stayed in the hotel, all of this food was lovely. The staff at the hotel are very, very friendly. The owner Costos is a lovely friendly and pleasant man. He always greeted us everyday and had conversation with us and all the other guests. A special mention to the barman Ani, a very hard working young man, who was very pleasant and polite young man and Vivienne who was an absolutely lovely woman who was so pleasant , always happy and spoke very good English. All of the staff were lovely but I can't remember their names. We found the hotel very peaceful, we were there for my wife's 50th birthday and to have a relaxing time for our summer holiday. Kalamaki is a short taxi ride at a price of six euros and there were lots of bars and restaurants there to try out. We really enjoyed our time at the hotel and will definitely return to Zante and this hotel, hopefully to room 304 and spend time with the lovely staff who made our stay fantastic.
