Hotel Ai Mori D' Oriente

Staff all very pleasant. Excellent breakfast. Good location for arriving (first stop from airport on the Orange line), though getting back to the airport proved problematic as it was the last stop and all the boats were full - an additional boat had to be requested to accommodate all the people waiting. Ten minutes to the vaparetto stop. Lots of shops, restaurants, bars, supermarket within five minutes' walk. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is because we waited a long time to be shown to our room when we arrived, when other guests who arrived later were shown to theirs. Also, our room, though lovely, was noisy.

We stayed at this wonderful, characterful hotel for part of our honeymoon in 2009. Returning after 9 years we were delighted to find it was every bit as good as before. It is located in a fascinating area of the city, much quieter than the tourist hotspots, but still within comfortable walking distance of them, or by vaporetto from stops within a few minutes of the hotel. The staff are unfailingly helpful, friendly, and charming and the hotel and the rooms are spotlessly clean and welcoming. We loved our return trip, and visiting Venice in late winter showed it in a very atmospheric light. Venice in the mist looks fabulous! We will return to the Ai Mori d’Oriente again, and look forward to being welcomed as we have been previously.

Very atmospheric location right on the canal in a quieter area of Venice but in easy walking distance for all attractions. Receptions staff very helpful especially in advising a great restaurant for a birthday celebration

Superb hotel, lovely location and rooms and the staff are probably the most helpful, friendly and professional I have ever met. If you want a real Venetian experience away from hordes of tourists but within easy reach of the city then I could not recommend this hotel more highly

very friendly hotel staff always willing to help and give suggestions for visits and restaurants was presented with a gift for my birthday at breakfast and wished a happy birthday by all the staff - never had that before. Andrea on reception very helpful.

Had a great week at this lovely hotel. Upgraded to a junior suite which was great. The staff are amazing very helpful. Cannaregio is a good place to stay as its a lot quieter with lots of restaurants to choose from. There is so much to see in Venice that we will need to come back and will definitely stay again at this hotel. Great breakfasts too and Florin makes a 'mean' Bellini!!
