My daughter and I booked this hotel for a 4 night stay in August and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is situated in a great location within walking distance to everthing! Vaparetto and train station also just a few minutes walk away. The hotel staff were pleasant in particular a friendly porter whom we chatted with each morning and bar staff who were lovely when we popped in for a last drink each evening. They have seats outside right on the grand canal which was gorgeous whilst sipping on an aperol spritz! Bar staff also brought us free snacks. Little ham rolls one evening and crisps and olives on other evenings. My only issue was it took us a while to work out how to turn off the air con each night as room was too cool for our liking. I would definitely come back to this hotel again.
Easy to talk to and always pleasant and helpful. The people there helped with all need and ensured our trip was successful, no language barrier to stop us understanding them and so forth for ourselves
Just back from Venice and this Principe Hotel was convenient and close to the bus and rail station, as well as top of Grand Canal with water transport to enjoy down to St mark's square. Good staff and clean rooms. Breakfast was good and nice choice between continental or cooked (not full British style) but plentiful.
Firstly, the Hotel Principe has a fantastic location right on the Grand Canal and is perfectly placed for Water Bus stops/Gondolas/trains/buses and services. Pinch yourself breakfasts on the terrace a great feature of this `Grand Old Lady` and the service standards of all staff were first class. A real smart place and a pleasure to have enjoyed it`s virtues for a few days.
Overall I was very pleased with the Hotel. Rather disappointed with my room which was small, rather tired looking and had a terrible view from the window. On the plus side everywhere was very clean, bedding changed unnecessarily every day. The room had a mini bar. Very effective air conditioning. Great buffet breakfast, very fresh and lots of choice. My favourite part of the Hotel was the terrace which was directly alongsidecthe Grand Canal, lovely to have a glass of wine watching a huge variety of boats passing by. I would stay at this Hotel again, it is in a great location, but I would want a nicer room.
This hotel is lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent and the food was very good. We stayed half board and enjoyed sitting on the terrace by the Grand Canal. The rooms are typical Venetian style and the beds were very comfortable. Would like to stay here again.

The location was perfect as it is near the train station and local amenities. The room was perfect too with a comfortable nice double bed and AC. The bathroom was also very clean and spacious enough.

I loved this hotel and I would stay again. We went with Family and friends. They had a great breakfast and they were walking distance to everything. Water Taxi outside the door.

Please note: if you book a transfer for Venice City this will be by water taxi. The water taxi will take you directly to your hotel if it has a private pier depending on tides. For those hotels without a private pier or during times of low tides, the water taxi will take you to the nearest available dock and you will have a short walk to your hotel. The transfer will take approximately 35-45 minutes per way. Upon arrival a representative will be waiting for you and will take you to the airport dock to get the water taxi. For the return transfer, please ask at the hotel reception for the pick-up time at least 24-hours prior to your departure flight. If taking a private transfer, there is a distance of 950m from the boat dock to the check in area, much of which is assisted by a moving walkway.

The basic flight fare (including all taxes and non-optional charges), one piece of check-in baggage, accommodation and coach transfers if stated form the ‘FREE’ element of the price. All other ancillary charges on the flight or during the holiday, such as extra legroom and in-flight meals, room upgrades, and optional meal arrangements, and for villas, pool heating, shall be chargeable. One Free Child Place is available when there are at least 2 passengers paying the full price. There can only be one Free Child Place per room, or per villa, on the booking. With the exception of villa products, multiple Free Child Places can be booked as long as there are at least 2 passengers paying the full price per child place, each Free Child Place is assigned into a different room and there is availability of Free Child Places. Where a party consists of one adult and two children, one child will be charged the full price applicable to their age and the other child will receive the Free Child Place.
The child age where a Free Child Place would be applicable is displayed on the accommodation description page of the brochure and on our website. The child age on the date of return must not exceed the specified age to be applicable to a Free Child Place.
The full deposit must be paid for the Free Child Place and the deposit will be deducted from the final holiday invoice. This will be displayed at time of booking. If you cancel your holiday there will be a £60 charge payable in respect of the child, in addition to any charges set out in clause 5 of our terms and conditions.
