Introduction

Overlooking the Venetian lagoon, the Metropole is a superbly situated luxury hotel with stunning views out to the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore. Dating back to the 16th century, the former palace is a fusion of the city's rich past and opulent styles of the Orient from its days as a trading capital. Discover Venice

Venice has a dream-like quality that makes it the most magical of all Italy’s cities. And locals say the best way to experience it is to get lost. Forget the map and head down side streets to find a quaint trattoria where you can dine on cicchetti with the Venetians. Of course, St. Mark’s Square with its terracotta clock tower, Basilica and Doge’s Palace is a bucket-list must. While you’re there, treat yourself to bow-tied waiter service and a creamy cappuccino at Caffè Florian. Arty types can swing by the Peggy Guggenheim Museum and foodies can get their fill at the Rialto Market, but no city break to Venice is complete without a fizzy peach Bellini at iconic Harry’s Bar.

    Please note:

    • If you book a transfer for Venice City this will be by water taxi. The water taxi will take you directly to your hotel if it has a private pier. For those hotels without a private pier, the water taxi will take you to the nearest available dock. The transfer will take approximately 35-45 minutes per way. Upon arrival a representative will be waiting for you and will take you to the airport dock to get the water taxi. For the return transfer, please ask at the hotel reception for the pick-up time at least 24-hours prior to your departure flight. If taking a private transfer, there is a distance of 950m from the boat dock to the check in area, much of which is assisted by a moving walkway.
    • The use of the SPA is available for exclusive private access only. The cost of the SPA is from €200 per 2 people per access (payable locally) per maximum 1.5h hour stay. Charges and duration may vary depending on the season and availability.
