As we "upgraded" to two rooms, we seemed to be put into an annex area behind the night reception. It could be that the rest of hotel is great and that we just ended up in a little used section. However..... Of the two adjoining rooms, ours was just behind the reception desk and was not only tiny but quite run down. Plaster missing in a few areas, vent on the A/C broken, no locks on the bathroom door, couldn't get the shutters to close and worst of all was a bit of an insect problem in the bed. We suspected it but didn't actually see anything crawling until the last night. Still got the bite marks now :( There was a lot of general noise from the near by breakfast room early mornings as they prepared, at night there was the reception buzzer and the frequent sounds of cases dragged and footsteps overhead. Again, this could just be down to the room but it did affect our stay. Having been to Venice (and Rome) before, the breakfast was also well below par compared to previous trips and other hotels. Positive notes - The other adjoining room seemed nicer and there were no reported night crawler bites in there. The hotel location was great. Quite near the train station but absolutely no noise that we could hear from the trains. The staff were very polite and friendly and the outdoor garden area was very nice. Probably best read some other reviews and make up your own mind. I'd reluctantly stay there again at a reduced rate that excluded "breakfast" but definitely not in room 102!!!

Please note: if you book a transfer for Venice City this will be by water taxi. The water taxi will take you directly to your hotel if it has a private pier depending on tides. For those hotels without a private pier or during times of low tides, the water taxi will take you to the nearest available dock and you will have a short walk to your hotel. The transfer will take approximately 35-45 minutes per way. Upon arrival a representative will be waiting for you and will take you to the airport dock to get the water taxi. For the return transfer, please ask at the hotel reception for the pick-up time at least 24-hours prior to your departure flight. If taking a private transfer, there is a distance of 950m from the boat dock to the check in area, much of which is assisted by a moving walkway.

The basic flight fare (including all taxes and non-optional charges), one piece of check-in baggage, accommodation and coach transfers if stated form the ‘FREE’ element of the price. All other ancillary charges on the flight or during the holiday, such as extra legroom and in-flight meals, room upgrades, and optional meal arrangements, and for villas, pool heating, shall be chargeable. Please note, transfers are not included within a Jet2CityBreaks booking.
One Free Child Place is available when there are at least 2 passengers paying the full price. There can only be one Free Child Place per room, or per villa, on the booking. With the exception of villa products, multiple Free Child Places can be booked as long as there are at least 2 passengers paying the full price per child place, each Free Child Place is assigned into a different room and there is availability of Free Child Places. Where a party consists of one adult and two children, one child will be charged the full price applicable to their age and the other child will receive the Free Child Place.
The child age where a Free Child Place would be applicable is displayed on the accommodation description page of the brochure and on our website. The child age on the date of return must not exceed the specified age to be applicable to a Free Child Place.
The full deposit must be paid for the Free Child Place and the deposit will be deducted from the final holiday invoice. This will be displayed at time of booking. If you cancel your holiday there will be a £60 charge payable in respect of the child, in addition to any charges set out in clause 5 of our terms and conditions.
