Dusted in snow or bathed in sunshine, Krakow's holidays offer beauty that'll sweep you off your feet and be kind to your wallet too. Cobbled roads, medieval houses and grand squares make up the walkable UNESCO-listed Old Town. Getting lost among its warren of backstreets is pure magic, but you'll find extra charm in the dumpling-serving restaurants and dinky vodka bars. Hear that tinkle of jazz? Follow it down into the underground cellar bars for atmospheric live music – it's just the start of Krakow's vibrant nightlife scene. Over in Kazimierz, the former Jewish Quarter, synagogues, flea markets and edgy bars steal the spotlight. When you're not exploring these culture-stuffed areas, venture out for day trips to remember. Auschwitz and the Wieliczka Salt Mine should be top of your list.
Experience festive magic with a Krakow Christmas market break. This oh-so-charming Polish city is spellbinding year-round, but really comes into its own during the winter season. Wander the Old Town for...
Make sure you allow enough time to admire the views of the Vistula river, the Wawel Royal castle itself and the impressive cathedral as you walk up the hill on the way there. The State Rooms are worth seeing...

Lovely warm room beds do comfortable, Breakfast was plenty full and nice strong coffee to sort you out in a morning Perfect location 15 mins from old town and on the edge of the Jewish quarter Simply a wonderful hotel
Very clean, super friendly staff, great location. Excellent. The staff were the stars as they could not be more helpful. We had a room at front which could be a bit noisy but this did not bother us at all as the beds were huge and comfy. The location is great as we walked everywhere there was no need even to use a tram. Auschwitz and Schindlers factory are a must, sad but a must. We will definitely go back and stay at the Columbis and see the Salt Mines next time.
Really pleased with this hotel. Small friendly and we'll placed for the Jewish quarter with lots of restaurants almost on the doorstep. The tram stop is right outside the door too. Easy to get into the main square too.
Cannot fault this hotel. 10 min walk from the old town and right next to Jewish quarter. Staff very friendly and room was cleaned every day. Plenty of choice for breakfast. We had read reviews that if your room was at the front of the hotel it could be noisy with the passing trams but we were on the front and can honestly say we did not hear a thing. Will definately be back.
