Hotel Wyspianski

You get what you pay for with this hotel. Just a very basic room and amenities, restaurant breakfast food wasn’t to my taste and my partner who has an egg allergy struggled to find enough to eat at breakfast. The room was fine, but on our first night we had a giant stain on the bottom of our bed, which made me feel uncomfortable to sleep in there. I asked for the sheets to be changed and this did happen. Oddly the shower smelt like onions? Every time we showered and had the hot water on an overwhelming smell of onions filled the whole room, which was quite unpleasant. To be honest I wouldn’t stay here again, however it was cheap and a central location. The staff were fairly nice, no issues at all.

very close to main square, hotel very, clean, breakfast very good, would recommed this hotel for all ammenities and location, good service, people very friendley, prices for food and drink about the same as britain, chocolate very good.

We had an excellent stay. The hotel was in a perfect position for the all facilities and the square. The hotel facilities are great, clean, warm comfortable with lovely friendly and helpfull staff. Breakfast was ample with a great choice of hot and cold food.

Upon entering this hotel, the dowdy reception area made us wonder immediately whether we had made the right choice. The room allocated by Jet2 overlooked the coach park, and engines were started at 6.00 am. The demeanour of restaurant staff reminded us that this used to be a communist country. However, the hotel was well situated for access to the Old Town, which is a marvellous place. Tram routes conveniently passed the door.

we have stayed at the hotel wyspianski twice now and had a very pleasant stay both times, its in a very good location, ideal for sightseeing, a walk through the planty to wawel castle is very nice, the hotel is also very handy for all the restaurants, clubs pubs etc, with a travel agent right next door (auschwitz, salt mine tours etc). the hotel staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable, lifts to all floors, bar in the lobby is a bit on the small side we just used it for a nightcap staff were very nice, breakfast buffet style was plentiful and a good range, we used the restaurant both stays and found it very good and very competitive price wise with those in the town.

Hotel was very clean , large bedrooms with comfy beds. A good choice of food at breakfast time.. hotel was very central to the main square, shopping centre and only a short walk to the castle. We had a great five days and would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

great location 5 minutes walk from main square, trams pass by the front if you want to go further out of the city. Hotel very clean, maids clean room make beds change towels daily. Rooms are very nice, comfortable beds, nice deco, view from side rooms not great but ok for city hotel. Little noisy late at night from people passing but didn't go on long. Bar area not very inviting and dining room very dark, breakfast was on nothing special we went out a couple of times as so cheap away from hotel. Reception staff were helpful enough but no personality quiet cold. I'd stay again due to its location.

This hotel is in a good location 5 minutes stroll to the main square & 4 minutes walk to the tram & bus stops.Its reception staff are very helpful with directions & question of places of interest they speak good English also.The Restaurant is very clean & serves excellent food. However I think the rooms are a little cramped long but narrow but as we only stayed 4 nights & did a lot of sightseeing it was OK in the short term
