Pod Wawelem

Booked into this hotel early Dec 2024 to visit the Christmas Markets. The hotel location was superb and within walking distance of many sights and attractions. Booking in at reception was quick and is where we met Bart, whose knowledge of the area was second to none . He was very friendly, tried to book trips for us, went out of his way to help and point us in the right direction during our stay. Bart is a credit to this hotel and made us feel very welcome ..The breakfast in the hotel was delicious, and a nice taste of polish food. Staff in dining area were attentive, helpful, and always on the go . Nothing was too much trouble if you asked them for anything…. Hotel room was comfy, view was naff but that was the only negative from a wonderful stay. I would certainly book into here again.

This hotel is just first class. Staff cannot do enough for you, reception will arrange your tours, taxis, and they greet you always with a smile. Rooms are beautiful and clean and beds so comfortable. Daily housekeeping. Breakfast is a huge buffet style, presented beautifully. Restaurant in the evening has a varied menu and service is very good

Clean but was a little tired in the room. Staff were very friendly and helped with planning transport for visits. Breakfast was adequate but limited choice. There was road works outside with limited access

Stayed as part of a city break on the recommendation of friends who had stayed previously. Overall the hotel offers good sized rooms comfortable beds and in my case pillows, linen was regularly changed and the room kept very clean. Smallish but adequate bathrooms with plentiful hot water adequate storage for a weeks stay. Breakfast was typically Polish with the addition a few hot items, scrambled eggs sausage and beans, more than adequate to start the day. The hotel has its own restaurant one on the roof top with fabulous views across to the river and Wawel castle and one on the ground floor where breakfast is served. Although we only eat once in the restaurant the food was tasty and well presented. The roof top bar with good weather was a favourite watering hole with reasonable prices (cheap by English standards). Overall I would recommend this hotel for any body who wants good value in a good quite location. Staff were both welcoming and accommodating and helped organise my tour of Auschwitz, pick up was literally yards from the hotel.

Hotel is good location with lovely views of the river and wawel castle and close proximity to the main square. Rooms clean and made up daily. Hotel food very good and all staff very friendly. If you need taxis anywhere they are more than happy to help.

My son and I stayed at the Pod Wawelem Hotel last month. It's a homely hotel with the all of the facilities that you could ask for. Perfectly situated next to the river and only a short distance from the old town. What really made our break was the staff. They couldn't do enough for us. Answering all of our questions and going out of their way to organise our trips. I would really recommend staying at this hotel and have every intention of revisiting it in the near future.
