Pestana Casino Park Ocean & Spa Hotel

hotel food very good.Standard of male dress in dining room(dinner) Very poor despite hotel saying all males should not wear shorts etc. Our third time but would give it 7 out of ten staff excellent some of them have been there several years.

The Carlton is still a great hotel with wonderful staff. Lovely grounds around the pool area with stunning plants, trees and colourful flowers. The rooms that face the harbour have a lovely view of the cruise ship as they arrive and leave the harbour. The pool view rooms have the sun for most of the day, lovely if you like to sit on the balcony.

Amazing views over Funchal port, amazing view at breakfast over looking the pool with the ocean as a back drop. Staff and food excellent, polite and helpful always ready to help. Walking disrtance to the city and park and great places to eat near by.

Could not fault the hotel everything was well laid out and the staff were so friendly and always willing to help. Catered for all our needs. We were half board and enjoyed the even buffet but my daughter who is nine was fussy and didn't enjoy the buffet as much, however she did enjoy the sweets very much, Would highly recommend the hotel.

Good location, only did bed & breakfast but good choice of restaurants close by. Plenty of room around the pool area and not a problem getting a sun bed. Staff where helpful and friendly. Had a top floor room with lovely views

Have always enjoyed our stays st Casino Park. Like the design which now looks retro. Nice change from bland International hotels. Nice gardens with super sea views. Beautiful infinity pool. Lovely restaurants close by and a super cafe has opened on the road opposite. Breakfast room works really well. Light and airy, good choice of food. Bit cavernous for an evening meal! There was entertainment every night but the bar stea suffers from too much space too. Staff all really helpful.

This is a fantastic hotel I'd like highly recommend. If your birthday falls within the period you stay, you will be provided a bottle as a gift. All the facilities are well presented and excellent. The only problem is that it is a big noice if the room close to the main street. Also it would be more useful if one more chair can be provided besides one sofa for a double room.

Great service from Jet2holidays from start to finish. Very impressed with level of service both at airports and at our hotel. We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and have always had great service rooms, food, pool, entertainment, bar staff and restaurant waiters and waitresses.

We enjoyed our stay at the Pestana Casino Park. The bedroom was clean, the food was adequate for our needs. Main thing for us was its location within walking distance of the city centre. We did not want to be in the Hotel Zone, only surrounded by hotels.

The location of the hotel was excellent being very close to Funchal centre. The staff were friendly and keen to impart information. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent. There was a large selection of food, even for the faddy eater. All selections being fresh and well presented. The amenities were excellent Some parts of the hotel were a little dated but rooms were clean and comfortable. If you have mobility problems then request a room closer to the centre/reception as it can be quite a jaunt to room. The grounds are well maintained and attractive. Would stay here again.

The hotel is a special place knowing its history and architectural background. There is nothing to beat the view as you walk down the ramp to breakfast with the sun shining in and the view over the pool and the ships in the harbour, it just says" Good morning" to you.

The hotel has wonderful views across Funchal and out tto sea. The staff are particularly friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant. The buffet for breakfast and evening meal was excellent and varied with a new theme each night. Would stay there again with no hesitation.
