Cala D'Or Playa Apartments

Lovely lively hotel, beautiful food, friendly staff. Apartments well stocked, although sofa bed a bit hard, all nice and clean. Close to all shops and beaches . Very geared up for children and children’s activities.

good apartments would be great for family with young children plenty going on the pools are child friendly and it seemed to have plenty of kids entertainment. Would say more family orientated but the bar and bar staff were always available for that late drink when returning after an evening out.n

Lovely friendly staff especially those in the restaurant and bar. Even though they were constantly rushing round working hard they always made time to chat and go out of their way to help. Great clean apartments with everything you could need. Very family orientated and geared up to entertaining children which is great for families but not as good if you want a quiet stay. Shame that some of the parents didn't clean up after their kids in the dining area. Overall we had a great time

Lovely clean hotel. Nice pool and always plenty of sunbeds, although we always used the gardens for sunbathing - brilliant! Hotel is in a great location, 5 minute walk to the supermarket, which had absolutely everything you needed. Excellent location for the beaches - overall a we had a brilliant time at Cala D'Or Playa, and would definitely come back :)

I can not fault these apartments at all. The location is fantastic especially being a short 2 min walk to the beach down a lovely quiet path. The apartment was clean with all the necessary amenieties you required ... even a nespresso style coffee machine I would highly recommend for a reasonably priced holiday !

we are a couple of over 55 and to be quite honest we would have preferred a hotel without as many kids - but the hotel caters for kids and the animation team kept everyone amused. If you have young kids book this hotel its wonderfull

We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment, me my wife, daughter aged 20 and son aged 17. My wife and I slept in the bedroom and our daughter and son on the sofa beds in the living area for the first 5 nights. After 5 nights we had to swap round because neither of our offspring could sleep confortably on the sofa beds, they were getting hardly any sleep at all. I must admit from my experience of the sofa beds it was like sleeping on the floor they were that hard. Other than the bed issue we were delighted with the accomodation, all the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and cheerful, the pool and pool area are very good, quite a few huge parasols for the shade lovers [me] and pleanty of room for the sun worshipers [the rest of my family] even in July. We stayed on a half board basis, the restraunt is quite small but never got overly busy [most people seemed to be self catering], breakfast was the standard fair, a good selection from cereals, toast, cold meats through to full English type, eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, mushrooms, tomato, beans etc etc etc. For the evening meals there was a good choice though not as expansive as we have had on other holidays but more than enough to satisfy most people, we found enough choice not to get bored, something different everyday. All the meals we had were excellent and at every meal there was a chef on hand cooking items to order, steak, fish etc etc in the evenings and to cook your eggs just how you like them in the mornings. All the restraunt staff were very friendly and obliging nothing seemed too much trouble. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to Cala Esmeralder and a couple of minutes further to Cala Gran and a bit further to Cala Ferrera, we went to all three [variety is the spice of life so they say], they were all busy but then it is July. The center of Cala d'Or is only about a 10 minute walk away, theres a good supermarket with a bakery section [bagettes etc for lunch] just at the end of the road probably a couple of hundred yards, not too far to carry the water or beer. All things considered we had a fantastic holiday [sofa bed issues aside] and would most certainly go again to both Cala d'Or [it was our 3rd vist] and specifically this hotel [1st visit]. Ive tried to be objective and honest with my review. There was a lot to like and very little to dislike about the Cala d'Or Playa and as I mentioned earlier I would have no hesitation in going back again.
