Seth 55 Santo Tomas

This hotel is about five years old. It is like new. Clean, huge rooms. The food is very good and there is plenty to pick from. A pool that is long, really long; 63 meters. Located about 300 yards from the beach. And what makes a place special is its staff. They all have a big smile, and will do anything to help.

Specifically booked a double room. Two weeks before arrival sent an email requesting a top floor room. On arrival was allocated a first floor room, was told the hotel was fully booked and this was the only room available. On opening the door saw it was a twin. Returned to reception to complain and, miraculously, was given a double on the top floor immediately.

Hotel 55 is in a good location, well designed and very comfortable we had a room at the rear and loved it. The staff were very good and we had no problems with getting a sun bed or seating at meal times. The only downside was the food,in the time we spent there I only ate 4 times on the main course at the evening meal. As a none fish eater and not to keen on Lamb I found the choice limited, the vegetables were either over or under cooked. So I was back to the cold meats bar. We did go to the Al La Carte evening and enjoyed that but again we were lucky because if it had been the following evening I would not have had either a starter or mains. We will stay at Hotel 55 again and hope the food is better if not we will eat out in the evening, although locally there is not much choice, as the company own most of the eating places.Thi was the only down side to a wonderful holiday

We have just arrived home from the Hotel 55 in Menorca. Excellent Hotel. Every member of staff were so professional and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We just had one problem my husband is in a wheelchair and it was quite difficult sometimes with the ramps they have promised that these hopefully will be ironed out for next year and put right.

This was our first holiday to Menorca and also stopping in a new hotel. We had a wonderful time. The island itself had many walks, coastal and inland through gorges and rocky outcrops. There were lots of beaches for family groups too, Sant Tomas was ideally suited for both types of holidaymakers. There were a couple of small supermarkets and gift shops and plenty of places for coffee/drinks/eating, in addition to the hotels. Our hotel
