Old town treasures
Sitting pretty on its own peninsula, Nessebar’s old town serves up a tangle of ancient streets, jam-packed with a whopping 44 churches, and a fantastic Archaeological Museum. Have a nosy around its nooks and crannies, and you’ll find yourself stepping back in time as you pass by remnants of Roman and Ottoman Empires, and dinky handicraft shops inviting you to get your haggle on.

Fish is the dish of the day in this town, and the rustic stone restaurants around the handsome harbour are a good place to start.
