Don Gregory By Dunas

This hotel is in a location overlooking the sea directly from all rooms. We had all inclusive on the top floor which had a huge balcony with table, chairs and two sun beds. Large room with a/c, comfortable bed, fridge, coffee machine, safe and loads of storage. The room is well serviced by lovely staff keeping you topped up with water etc. The restaurant is pleasant with lots of outdoor tables overlooking the sea or pool. Breakfast and lunch is extensive and super quality. Evening meal has less choice but we enjoyed all the meals. The pool is nice with lots of sun beds and the Bar on the same level with tables overlooking the beach and sea. There is entertainment in a dedicated room. The beach and sea is lovely with sun beds at 9 euros per day, local authority. The sea was flat calm two days and easy waves for the rest of our stay. The area is not littered with bars etc. along the prom giving nice beach side walks. The bars are behind the hotel. Jet2 gave us a seamless holiday as we are now use too. The only down side of our holiday was Bristol Airport which has "bitten off more than it can chew" it handles more passengers than it's facilities can handle. The limited toilets are extremely poor, doors locks missing or hanging off. Dirty! It lets Je2 down badly. On the return flight we had to share the baggage reclaim with three other flights from other countries. Total carnage. There is a hidden tax which tripped me up, if you follow the route to the M5 it takes you through the Avon Gorge which appears like a bypass. However 21 days later you get a PCN for £69 for a CAZ infringement. If you are aware of the CAZ you can pay £9 within 6 days of you actual return journey, But at 01:00 after 7 hours travel you do not think this bypass could be in a CAZ. It happens both ways to /from the airport. If you could pay the £9 when you find out, receipt of PCN, it would seem much kinder to non local travellers going on holidays from Bristol Airport Too sum up thankyou Jet2 for a nice holiday.

Very good accommodation, room, cleanliness, facilities etc. Food very good quality, although range of choice more limited than some competitors. Good range of dining locations (indoor/outdoor/smoking etc). Only criticism is that staffing seemed a little light for the number of guests, causing excess waiting to be served.

We really enjoyed our short break to this excellent hotel, the location and food were great. The staff were very friendly and everything went well for us. Would definitely go back to this beautiful hotel

Overall very pleased with our week in Dom Gregory.Entertainment let the hotel down.Went Half Board,drinks reasonable price.Food was a good standard, good choices.Shops and Restaurants close,everything you need.

This hotel really is the don it cannot be faulted the friendly reception staff the bar staff Juan fila Hamadu Gloria & all the others who keep your drinks topped up & the tables clean the breakfast lunch & dinner staff with Rosa & the omelette chefs all of them are fantastically attentive the rooms are kept spotless we have Natalia to thank for ours also it’s directly on the beach so what more could you want absolutely fabulous
