Hotel Pocillos Playa

Hotel was clean, room was of a good size and cleaned every day. Overall hotel and local area vibe was chilled and relaxed. Not a busy or loud area. If you are looking for bars etc this isn’t the location. Large clean beach 5-10 minute walk from hotel. We got a sun bed fine but we did put towels down at 9am when you were allowed to. Only let downs were the shower, as the shower head was useless, and the food, very limited basic options, but for the price we paid we were happy with just having drinks and breakfast and went out for lunch and dinner. After reading review we went to Marcos Bar for lunch and then went for dinner there every night, great food, cocktails, service and live music every night and only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Overall a lovely stay. I would return.

This hotel should be 2-3* , it is not 4*, and maybe would be best as room only.. Food was poor, sometimes raw chicken and pork, cockroaches in the dining room which is more like a staff canteen .. very rude reception staff ,it’s a shame as the area is lovely but not this hotel.

Hotel in a great area, near the beach and not far from bars and restaurants and a short taxi ride to Puerto Del Carmen. Rooms at hotel nice, spacious and clean, with towels changed every other day. Nice pool and always managed to get sun beds. Food: breakfast nice with plenty to choose from, lunch nice, but evening meals let it down. Saw under cooked chicken on at least two occasions. We ate out 3 nights in the week we were there. Staff in the restaurant friendly, but bar staff and reception staff weren’t very friendly at all. Overworked maybe? Entertainment at night pretty poor, one lad seems to do both day time activities and night time entertainment. Don’t think I’d return to this hotel as staff and food let it down.

We decided to spend Christmas abroad this year as our children are slightly older and didn’t need the ‘ hustle and bustle’ full of opening a Christmas present. It was time to do something different and our trip to Lanzarote did not disappoint! We were greeted by nicely upon arrival at the hotel and the environment was very warm and friendly. A great start to our Christmas break! The rooms were quite small bur very clean and tidy. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful and that was my important. Although the meals were nice, there could have been more variety; however the gala meal on Christmas Day was amazing. The magic show was the highlight of the entertainment and the karaoke was ok too. The staff were very amenable and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
